The mob has a plan. Recruit three renowned bank robbers from different parts of the world and put them into acton robbing banks posing as black men. Deposit an insured diamond worth millions into a banks vault. Steal it back. Collect the insurance. And, sell it in pieces all over the world, tripling their money.

But when three down and out plumbers from the hood decide that robbing the same bank would make them Ballers, the mob's plan falls apart. Snoop macht Werbung für Shampoo

Schuppen? Nappy Hair? Spliss?

Kankick - The Traditional Heritage

Oxnard, California isn't really known for too much Hip Hop, though the scene is HUGE out there and is the home of artists like Monteloco, Down and Declaime. Well, here's a producer that I'm sure most of you have slept on. Kankick. His 2001 album From Artz Unknown was amazing. Which featured cats like The Visionaries, Krondon, Phil Da Agony, Wildchild and so many more. In 2003, he had an album called Kantrax 2003 which he only pressed a few hundred of. Well, this year he's back with another banger. Entitled The Traditional Heritage, this 20+ track LP is heat front to back. Check it out on Sandboxautomatic.

Rah Digga Leaves J Records, Find New Home

As expected, Rah Digga has again displayed her loyalty to Busta Rhymes and his Flipmode squad and has left J Records for what she hopes will be greener pastures.

But she said the decision to leave wasn’t one she wanted, but one she had to for her career and livelihood.

“I just saw that [the album delays] were a prelude of more problems to come. An artist like myself who waited four years to drop the next record just didn’t need those kinds of problems,” Digga told AllHipHop.com “It’s almost a blessing.”

In 2000, Rah Digga dropped her acclaimed album Dirty Harriet to rave reviews and, as the only female in the Flipmode Squad, she excelled as a lyricist. Earlier in her career, her talents were showcased with The Outsiderz, the Fugees and Flipmode’s Imperial Album.

Digga said her abrupt exit from J wouldn’t stop her highly anticipated sophomore album, Everything Is A Story, from coming out.

“The album is done. I am in the process of negotiating my next home, which I am going to keep under wraps for right now, but I am definitely in a much better place,” she finished. Busta Rhymes has already signed with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath, but Digga wouldn’t reveal if she was following him there.

Husband Young Zee, Busta Rhymes and Flipmode are expected to appear on Everything Is A Story, but a new release date wasn’t available at press time.

Ol' Dirty Bastard's Co-manager has addressed the rumor that the rapper is hopping from Roc-A-Fella Records for Florida based label, Slip-N-Slide.

"Ted Lucas (Slip-N-Slide Founder/CEO) and I are very good friends and are exploring DVD opportunities together," Jarred Weisfeld explained to AllHipHop.com. "Ted has built a great music label with Slip-N-Slide. Dirty and I wish him nothing but success."

Weisfeld said that talk of Dirt leaving his Wu-Tang brethren for Roc-A-Fella are also without merit.

He said Dirty's upcoming Roc-A-Fella release is his best work to date and features contributions from various Clan members.

"Dirty never left Wu, he will never leave Wu and his album has 5 songs produced by The Rza featuring songs with Macy Gray, Ghostface, Method Man, Buddha Monk. If Wu-Tang does another album there is no chance Dirty won't be on it."

Ol' Dirty has been a free man for 10 months and Weisfeld said the colorful rapper was doing great.

"He's concentrating on music, his Dirty clothing line, his DVD, possible book deals, and wanting to act in movies and television."

A DVD by Ol' Dirty is scheduled to hit shelves in May.

US-Rapper werden überwacht
12.03.2004 (Fr) Redakteur: Redaktion
-------------------------------------

an.
Clubbesitzern!"<<

Die Topliste der "meistüberwachtesten" Rapper

Bad Azz Pushed Back...

Big surprise? Not really! Just like practically EVERY album, Bad Azz upcoming album "Executive Decisionz" has been pushed back yet again. The new release date for the album is May 11th. The tracklisting will pretty much remain the same, with the exception of two interludes he recorded and, it looks like Snoop Dogg might not be part of this album! By his own / his lawyers request, Bad Azz had to remove Snoop Doggs vocals from the album. He will be keeping the song though.

"When I come back like Jordan/wearing the 4-5." While a lot of us felt that Jay-Z's retirement talk was just that (talk) all along, one of Jay's main points of emphasis regarding his retirement was that he was looking forward to having some down time, focusing his efforts on Roc's other ventures and specifically his angst with the industry in regard to not feeling artistically challenged by the music his fellow artists are creating. Well, we've been told that Jay-Z is already plotting out moves for his return and the move would most def be a project that would challenge Jay both artistically and creatively!! So, what is the move Jay is plotting? We've been told by a very reliable source that Jay-Z is in discussions with Dr. Dre for a proposed comeback LP, one which Dre would handle all of the production. At this juncture, nothing is etched in stone and the details about making it a joint Roc-A-Fella/AfterMath release still need to be ironed out, but the pair have engaged in conversations about making this happen!!

COMMON SIGNS TO THE ROC (NOT)

The rumors of Common going to Roc-A-Fella have spun out of control. We are guessing this originated from the rumor that Kanye West was TRYING to get Common to join his Very Good Music imprint, which is rumored to be a joint venture between Interscope and Roc-A-Fella. However, this is still all speculation. After the story transformed into "Common has signed to Roc-A-Fella", which was apparently heard on Chicago radio (touted by some as being said by Kanye himself), a few phone calls set the record straight. I got a "hell no" from Common, which followed with "They fam, but I am still a signed artist to Geffen. I just can't leave while under contract". So there it is folks, in black and lyrical. Common is on Geffen. ?uestlove added "Kanye did three joints (for the new Common album), we still did the rest". Common's BE (Basement Evolution) is about halfway done at press time.

THE INVINCIBLE PRETTY TONEY

Ironman... It looks like we will have to wait a little longer for Ghostface to save hip-hop, as his Def Jam debut, Pretty Toney, has been pushed back, yet again, until 4-27-04. The reason for the delay? Def Jam wants to ensure that their promotional vehicle has adequate time to push the LP's lead-single, "Tush" f/Missy Elliot and the breathtaking street-single "Run." Look for the "Tush" video to impact real soon.

WHAT THE FUC?

While FT's (of "Street Smartz" fame) The F Word, has taken forever to finish, word is that he is in the final stages of completing his long-delayed solo debut and fans of his earlier work will be very happy with the results. While FT has already recorded tracks with Just Blaze, Buckwild and DJ Scratch, he's putting the finishing touches on the LP with production from Denaun Porter and DJ Khalil. Look for guest spots from Fat Joe, Nature and in a surprising twist, heavy-metal outfit, Megadeath. Look for The F Word to be released this spring on New Line Records.
