"Lost another legend. Know you’re drawn to Pac, that goes w/ out saying, but my friend to the right is Buckshot’s brother Thor. Met Vinard Miller right before Black Moon’s first tour with Das EFX in 1994. Was amazed to discover that “Thor” wasn’t his nickname up till that point in his life, and that he had the confidence to label himself so. The name was fitting though. Thor was a formidable person and natural protector of his family and friends, especially Buck. Never saw him take a drink or smoke, you could find him in a hotel's gym on any early morning, lifting every available weight he could find. Thor accompanied us on our trip to record with Tupac, and Pac took an instant liking to his military no nonsense ways. Thor was quiet and kind, always on point, and make no mistake you didn’t want a problem with him. He was a man that admirably stood up to a bully, he despised “nastiness”. He was a swift finisher to a justified problem. Thor also had a great sense of humor and I enjoyed many jokes with him, including putting his name on post-its and while everyone in the house was sleeping placing them on food in Pac’s pantry and fridge. The disbelief from those who discovered it in the morning was priceless. �� -
If you knew my dog French Fry, then know Thor was responsible for me adopting him. While i was apprehensive to pick him up on a trip to Miami, Thor assured me that if keeping a dog didn’t work out for me, he would find a good home for him through his wife’s pet store in the Bronx.
In years that followed I didn’t see Thor nearly as often, but he always came out to support Buck at milestone shows, and despite any lapses of time, you just knew he was a phone call away. RIP Big Thor, my thoughts are with your family, you were a great man."
