Eric Smith (E Money Bags) wurde am 16.07.2001 in seinem Wagen aus nächster Nähe erschossen. Hier der entsprechende Zeitungsbericht:

A rapper known as E-Money Bags was gunned down inside his luxury sport utility vehicle by white-gloved gunmen who sped off in a Mercedes after a hit in Queens on Monday night. Eric Smith, 29, of Brooklyn, was riddled with more than 10 bullets as he sat in his 1999 Lincoln Navigator near Witthoff Street and 111th Road in Queens Village. Witnesses told police that either three or four men approached Smith's vehicle about 9:45 p.m. Monday. At least two of them fired 9-mm handguns at the rapper from such a close range that many of the shell casings ejected from their guns landed inside his SUV, police sources said. Police sources said it appears that Smith, a fringe-rapper who recorded with some of the up-and-coming names in the business, may have been going for his own gun when he was shot because a .380-caliber handgun was found on the front floor of the vehicle. Smith, who lives in the Glenwood Houses in East Flatbush, never had a breakthrough hit of his own but appeared on records with such notable rappers as Prodigy, Mussolini and Noreaga. And like many rappers, his lyrics make reference to a violent lifestyle.

We sadly have learned that D-Roe from the group BodyCount passed away this last Tuesday. The cause of death has not yet been revealed.

The group that caused a nationwide stir years ago with the Cop Killer song by then-frontman Ice T just completed a new album which is due out shortly.

On behalf of DJ Chilly Chill at the rest of the WCrydaz staff, we offer our condolences to the family and friends of D-Roe.

In July 2001, Eric Smith, a 30-year-old rapper known as E-Money Bags, was shot to death as he sat in a car parked on a Queens street. Law enforcement officials contend that McGriff ordered that murder to avenge the killing of a friend, though Smith's supposed role in the December 1999 murder of Colbert Johnson, McGriff's pal, is not detailed in the affidavit sworn by Detective William Courtney.

war zwar schon dabei aber einen riesen RESPEKT an Seagram der echt geile musik gemacht hat...

Oakland rapper Seagram was born in 1970 and raised in East Oakland's 69 Village housing projects. Seagram released his debut album The Dark Roads on Rap-A-Lot Records in 1993. It featured the song The Vill and feratured Gangsta P, Scarface, Ganksta Nip, Willie D and Bushwick Bill. Seagram's second album Reality Check was released in 1995. On the morning of July 31st, 1996, Seagram was shot and killed by an unknown gunman. Seagram was hit while attempting to shield his friend from the gunfire. Seagrams third album was released in 1997 called Souls On Ice featuring Scarface, Yukmouth and Spice 1.
