Tanya Herron (DPG Recordz Official), also Mike Dean's partner has reported that herself and J-Prince will be dropping a "West Coast Mike Dean Compilation" in the near future featuring Nate Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Roscoe, RBX, Crooked I, Eastwood, Kokane & Tupac Shakur. She has also reported that "Dolla Dolla Bill" the unreleased Nate Dogg, Daz & Roscoe song will be on it. If were lucky we might get Crooked I's "Crook In Me" too. The compilation is set to drop soon!

Rapper Busta Rhymes received six months' probation after pleading no contest yesterday (March 23) in Fall River, Mass., to a charge that he assaulted a woman during a concert.

Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor A. Smith Jr., was also ordered to pay $300 in court costs. His record will be cleared if he successfully completes the probation term.

The rapper was performing a late-night gig in Fall River in December 2002 when Celine Giguere, of Providence, R.I., allegedly reached out and touched his chin.

In a statement read in court, Rhymes said that when he saw Giguere reach for his face a second time, he grabbed her hand and said, "Please make sure you do not touch me again."

According to a police report, the rapper grabbed Giguere, shoved her head into a table and said, "If you try touching me again, I'll kill you." Rhymes also filed an assault complaint against Giguere. She's scheduled to appear in court on that charge today.

The Souls of Mischief were some of the west coast's rising emcees when they released '93 Til Infinity in the early '90s, gaining heavy rotation on radio stations across the country with the title track "'93 Til Infinity."

Since then, they have continued to record and have released group albums, mixtapes and are still working with their Hieroglyphics family.

Now group member, Tajai is preparing his latest solo effort titled Power Movement on Hiero Imperium.

"I want listeners to get their minds in gear and be ready to roll," Tajai said in a statement. "We have been complacent for a long time now, and it’s time for the truly creative, and the truly powerful Hip-Hop nation to come together and claim this world as ours - taking responsibility for its future as well as Hip-Hop's future."

Tajai will feature guest appearances from Goapele, Pep Love, Casual and A-Plus, while production is shared by Kool DJ EQ, Skitzo, Amp Fiddler, the Pitchhitters, Fakts One, Kimani, Casual, A-Plus and Domino.



Power Movement is slated to hit stores April 20th.

Hypnotized Minds camp recently inked a deal with Chris Lighty's company Violator and are now managed by the same company that handles such stars as Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, Mobb Deep, Clipse and others.

"They were initially interested in doing a deal with Lil Whyte," 36 Mafia group member DJ Paul told AllHipHop.com. "He's sold over 100,000 Soundscanned copies of his album Doubt Me Now, independent with no promotions. He's still doing 1500 copies a week and everyone is wondering how he did this, I even wonder. He hasn't gotten any promotion on the radio stations in Memphis and I just started running ads on him."

Through discussions about Lil Whyte, Violator big wigs inquired as to why 36 Mafia never received the proper push, yet still sold hundreds of thousands of records.

After realizing all of the acts were for the most part self managed, Violator offered to handle the careers of the Memphis based collective.

"The whole camp is going to be managed by Violator," Paul continued. "36, Frayser Boy, Project Pat and Lil Whyte."

Hopes are high that the incarcerated Project Pat, who has been serving a 4 year sentence for violation of his probation since 2002, would be released before the end of the year to rejoin the group as they turn a new page in their rap careers.

A new album, Crook By The Book consisting of all new material by the rapper is being produced and prepared for release.

"They just moved him to a low security prison. He's in Missouri now, he was being held in Beaumont Texas. We are remixing the music, all the lyrics are sh*t he did before he went in. It's all unreleased sh*t, we are just redoing the music."

Crook By The Book is expected to hit stores later this year.

Das offizielle Releasedate für das Masta Killa Album "No Said Date" ist doch nicht der 4. Mai, sondern der 1. Juni 2004. Es ist noch eine lange Zeit, aber auch diese werden wir durchstehen!

Desweiteren wird Masta Killa Ende April seine zweite Single namens "Old Man" droppen. Der Track featured RZA und ODB, RZA hat den Track übrigends auch produziert. Zu der Single soll es dann auch ein Video geben.

Tha Realest flew to Miami, Florida 2 weeks ago to hook up with Fat Joe. They collabed for the track "Witness Tha Realest", the title track for the album. The song is hot and is likely to be the first single.

Devin The Dude and Yukmouth will be featured on the club song "Somethin Like A Playa" on Witness Tha Realest.

And lastly, Napoleon formerly of the Outlawz came through last night to record 2 tracks with Tha Realest. "Leave Me Alone" and "I Wonder If God Carez" are the song titles. One is guaranteed to make the album, but both might make the cut.

The tracks listed above will be the last tracks recorded for the album. It will enter its mixing stages in 2 weeks.
