geil

ODB & Billy Danze gefallen mir besonders,
aber auch die anderen machen ihre Sache gut.

Stanley Jones is one of the music industry’s most prolific writers, producers, and guitarists. Known worldwide as Stan “The Guitar Man”, he has regularly performed as the lead-guitarist for several of the industry’s greatest icons & legends including T.I., Destiny’s Child, Boyz II Men, The Temptations, LL Cool J, The O’Jays and the list goes on.

Many of you west coast aficionados are undoubtedly familiar with this legendary producer, as he has written, performed and produced on many of the classic albums and songs from a slew of the west coast’s finest.

You can find his multi-platinum touch on albums by DJ Quik, Westside Connection, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Too $hort and countless others. Surely you remember his appearances on the D.O.C.’s No One Can Do It Better, Coolio’s Gangsta’s Paradise, Ice Cube’s Death Certificate, NWA’s Straight Out of Compton, DJ Quik’s Rhythm-A-Lism and many, many more classics.

With the release of Concrete Soul, Stan delivers music that feeds the soul with tight production and a sound that is bigger than life. Besides the variety of styles on this album, the focus is the guitar with which the “Guitar Man” uses to paint abstract art musically. This is a must have for your collection!

Below we have the song "Compton Rock" from the project as well as the tracklising.

Sehr gute Nachrichten! Ich poste es nochmal im G-Man Stan fred.

Edit:
Hab ich wohl zu schnell gelesen Stan "The Guitar Man" Jones aus L.A. ist nicht Stan "G-Man" Keith aus der Bay.

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach

Release Date: 09.03.2010

Zitat:
March 9, 2010 will see the release of Gorillaz's third studio album 'Plastic Beach'. We rejoin the band as Murdoc the bass player is gathering musicians and collaborators to create the new album. The new Gorillaz empire is set on a strange floating island deep in the South Pacific at the furthest point from any land mass on the planet... Introducing Plastic Beach – an island made entirely of plastic, debris and the washed up remnants of humanity. Amongst the collection of historical remains and discarded rubble, Murdoc finds a book detailing the history of Man right up to the present day, except the last chapter "The End of Days" has been torn out – the future is missing. Time to get the band together, finish this album and have fun while the sun still shines...To complete the task, Murdoc has assembled some other musicians to join the band at Plastic Beach, these select people would join him on his floating Hellfire Club, as musicians, players and contributors in this wonky, damaged Plastic opera. Mos Def, Bobby Womack, The Horrors, Lou Reed, Little Dragon, rappers Kano and Bashy, Mark. E. Smith, Syrian orchestras, global musicians and more….All would be subpoena-ed to collaborate on this visionary Gorillaz record.

Marc Hype & Jim Dunloop - Stamp Out Reality

Release-Date: 23.02.10

Zitat:
Two turntables and a funky piano! Step into the world of Marc Hype & Jim Dunloop. "Stamp Out Reality" is the musical manifesto of DJ Marc Hype and keyboarder Jim Dunloop. After years of rocking clubs and festivals worldwide with their unique live concept, the dynamic duo from Berlin is now ready to drop their first album.

"Stamp Out Reality" offers a diverse mix of styles and moods that reflects perfectly where Marc, the pioneering hip hop DJ and Jim, the classical trained jazz pianist are coming from and where they are heading to. Classic hip-hop joints with Mr.Lif and Mr.Complex are sitting right next to the madness of porn-funk godfather Blowfly and the latin-tingled future jazz of Malena Perez from NY. Marc and Jim pay hommage with cover versions of the b-boy classic "The Mexican" and the 80s electro smasher "Al Naafiysh" while keeping the breaks intact with floor-shakers like "Wah Wah Wah". Technically the album is a mix of sample-based production and live instrumentations. All keys are played by Jim, with befriended musicians guesting on drums, bass and guitar.

Hört sich gut an...wird abgecheckt

9. Wah Wah Wah
10. The Mexican feat. Sara De Bourgeois
11. Al Naafiysh (The Soul)
12. It Was A Very Good Year feat. Lady Daisey
