Zitat:
Just got an advance of the lunch box reissue and it's pretty cool. I transcribed the lyrics for Stones Throw so they hooked me up the cd version. I guess the vinyl won't be out for a few months due to production issues. The cd version should be available from Stones Throw on March 22nd and around $35-40 which is a little steep imo.
There aren't any demos like a lot of us were hoping for... it's just the 12" versions and their instrumentals BUT there are a few unreleased joints on it: "? (Extended Raw Rhymes Version)" which is basically Kurious and Doom freestyling (believe it or not!) over the raw drums from the track, then they break into the lyrics we all know. Then there are 6 instrumentals (not just special herbs).
Here's a real tracklist:

It's cool to have the 12" versions on cd though. Personally I would download the mp3's once they come out then wait for the price to go down but you never know with Doom's releases, these could sell real quick and then go for outrageous prices on ebay. I say if the lyric booklet and lunch box is important to you then drop the cash when it's released. The lunch box is whatever to me but it's cool to have the lyrics, it's done up to be kind of like a top secret FBI document with some of the lyrics blacked out.
It's supposed to be remastered but on first listen I couldn't really tell any difference with the original 1999 version. The 12" versions sound pretty good except they're compressed and clip a little. Overall I say it's easily the best reissue but a little steep in price. I hope they eventually offer a regular 2CD version but wouldn't count on it.
Wird auf jeden Fall eingetütet...
