Ellay Khule's latest landmark album provides a breath of fresh air for the true hip-hop fan, balancing style and substance, with solid production, and uncompromised verbal assaults.
This 19 track opus, takes you on a musical field trip, through the streets of Los Angeles, the city, the world. From the tough-as-nails, rock laced anthem of Triflin’, to the heart felt jazzy introspection of “Top of The World,” to the masterful chopfest evident on Mr. Electricule, there are many reasons to take notice.
Joe Dub (La2thebay/Westcoast Workforce) provides the seamless soundtrack, blending elements of rock, old school hip-hop, and jazz, in to a wave of sound, which skillfully elevates Ellay Khule's inherent talent on the mic.
“In My Own World,” also features “next generation” Project Blowedien and battle rap champ NoCanDo, who guests on “Unlucky,” as well as singer Brittany Jones.
This soundclash, not only defines the west coast sound, but also sets a standard.
