B-Real of Cypress Hill has released a lengthy personal statement for the fans that will give everyone an update on what they can expect from his solo album "Smoke & Mirrors," his protege Young De, and the new Cypress Hill album. Check it out below:

"What’s poppin soldiers. I know it’s been a minute but i’ve been knockin out recordings left and right for various things. So for a brief break down, here it is: [I] finished mixing my solo album and inked a deal with Duckdown Records, which is a indie label that is hip-hop based. We’re all excited to finally get this going, as we’ve been putting in a lot of work for it.

It’s not a Cypress album, so if your expecting it to be like that, I’m sorry. But, see, that is what Cypress is for! I will get back to that. Anyway, the release date for ’Smoke-N-Mirrors’ will be in the month of January and the exact date will be posted here.

Prior to this album, we’ve released a mixtape on my boy Young De from Tangled Thoughts. [DOWNLOAD HERE] He’s up and coming, spits hot verses and writes very good songs. You will hear more from him as we are working on his album project as well. The mixtape he’s got out there now is “Audio Hustlaz Volume 1,″ presented by DJ Skee and myself. I produced some of the joints on that record, and we hope you like them or will like them if you haven’t heard them yet [....]

With Cypress, we’ve recorded 20 songs so far and we’re gonna continue to record til we feel we’ve done enough good shit to choose from. The beats Muggs gave us for this album are fucking fire. You will see this in time. I won’t get into tracks from other producers because I don’t want to jinx it. [I] never talk about it til it's done as far as that goes. But the album so far is definitely bangin'. [....]

Thanks for your support and love always, and don’t forget LA Halloween and NYC Halloween coming up. GO BUY YOU FUCKIN' TICKETS!!!!! LOL. Please spread the word! 1."

As we reported on August 1st, 2008 - Sen Dog (aka Senen Reyes), the notorious co-frontman of hip-hop legends Cypress Hill, was gearing up to release his debut solo album "Diary of a Mad Dog" on September 30, 2008. Today is that day and - for once - the album drops right on time via Suburban Noize Records.

Sen Dog's bark is louder than ever on his debut. Taking matters of money, faith and family to the music, Sen Dog sets out to unleash personal dramas in a no-holds-barred symposium that will shed insight into his life.

"Diary of A Mad Dog" is a cathartic release for the rabid emcee, but totally accessible to a ravenous audience eager for a solid Sen Dog assault. Artists set to feature on the album include Tangled Thoughts, DJ Ace, and even his Cypress Hill partner B-Real.

""I've done the whole dark, morbid thing and the whole rock n' roll crossover thing. I'm not going to have an agenda on this; I'm going to jam and record whatever is fun to me," says Sen Dog about his first ever solo offering. "With Cypress Hill I'm working with B-Real and DJ Muggs, but with my solo material it's a bit more of a challenge and more rewarding for me as a songwriter when I come up with tracks and they sound banging" he adds.

Eric Bobo Of Cypress Hill Prepares Solo Project [Audio] - October 25, 2008 By : Nima

Nacional Records is proud to announce that percussion phenom Eric Bobo (of Cypress Hill) will release his debut album 'Meeting of the Minds' on November 18th. 'Meeting of the Minds' brings together many of Bobo's friends and creative collaborators from across his life, including B-Real, Sick Jacken, Ill Bill, Mellow Man Ace and Eric's father, the latin Jazz legend Willie Bobo.

The album follows Bobo's wide range of influences - as a Puerto Rican whose childhood was spent surrounded by jazz revolutionaries to his days immersing himself in the underground hip hop scenes and touring the world stages with the Beastie Boys and Cypress Hill.

Throughout his career, Bobo has been known for recording and performing with a large variety of leading artists including The Black Crowes, 311, Gnarls Barkley, Rage Against The Machine, Smashing Pumpkins, Soulfly, Ella Fitzgerald, Fort Minor (feat. Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park) and Psycho Realm. "I'm very chameleon-like," Bobo explains. "I feel comfortable playing in a lot of different settings. I can do a hip-hop album but also play with The Black Crowes on something very rootsy. Or I can play with Soulfly, a heavy metal group. To do all these things, it has really opened me up musically."

In August 2005, Bobo entered the studio in Tucson, Arizona to record his debut album, 'Meeting of the Minds'. The album is an eclectic collection of songs that represent what Eric Bobo is all about. "I am really excited to be able to make an album that has songs with artists from Ill Bill, one of most dope MCs in underground hip hop, to Toy Selectah, whose group Control Machete were influenced by Cypress. That was the concept of 'Meeting of the Minds', to put all these different worlds together. Making some of the most oddball combinations and seeing what comes out."

Dubcnn has the pleasure of bringing you an exclusive track off the album for your listening pleasure. Check out "The Good, Bad & Ugly", featuring The Hoodcats, below:

Eric Bobo - The Good, Bad & Ugly (ft. The Hoodcats)

Make sure to pick up your copy of "Meeting Of The Minds" when the album drops on November 18th!

Sen Dog Releases Video for "Capo"

Latino hiphop pioneer Sen Dog has posted the video for his new single “Capo” online at this Youtube page. The track is taken from Sen Dog’s new album, “Diary of a Mad Dog”, which was released through Suburban Noize Records.

"I want to invite everyone to check out my new video for the song 'Capo' its my very first video off my new solo album 'Diary of a Mad Dog'," commented Sen Dog. "I'm really proud of this video and want to send a big shout out to all who worked on it. Hope you all enjoy it."

Sen Dog’s bark is louder than ever on his debut solo album, “Diary of a Mad Dog”. The rabid emcee has laid it on the table for the release of his first ever solo release that tackles the matters of money, faith, family and music. With the help Cali buds Tangled Thoughts, DJ Ace, and Cypress Hill partner B-Real, Sen Dog has crafted a solo joint so potent it rivals anything in his back-catalog.

Sen Dog is forever known as the notorious co-frontman of hip-hop legends Cypress Hill, who helped break down the door for Latinos in the hiphop world. Cypress Hill have cemented their position in the hiphop history books with classic albums like “Black Sunday”, while producing some of the biggest hiphop tracks of all time with “How Could I Just Kill a Man”, “Insane In The Brain” and “Rock Superstar”. Cypress Hill was recently honored at the VH1’s Hip Hop Honors Award show alongside De La Soul and Naughty By Nature for their highly influential contribution to the world of hiphop.

^ Reichlich frühe Ankündigung :ugly:

Habe mir heute nebenbei Bobos Album angehört.

:notsure:
