it was initially made for a compilation i was gonna put out but that project never came together. so it just kinda ended there. i've had it for years ,as well as a song i did with slug in the late 90's, as the only two songs i ever finished for the comp. illogic is a really nice guy and he's very underrated. he contacted me earlier this year about doing an ep together but we fell outta contact. maybe in the future we'll get around to it.

oh and i totally forgot illogic put that song out somewhere. brainfart. as for this joint, i put this out on a tour only cd "block in the box" and i've also had it available for download a few times on my myspace page. so, it's not exactly super duper rare.

Illogic - Diabolical Fun
Eine gefühlte Ewigkeit hat uns Illogic auf sein neues Album warten lassen, nunmehr steht "Diabolical Fun" aber kurz vor der Veröffentlichung. Weightless Records, Blueprints in Columbus Ohio beheimatetes Label, hat sich seiner wieder angenommen und wird sein neuestes Album am 24.03.2009 veröffentlichen. Produziert hat das neueste Werk ausschließlich Ill Poetic, Gastauftritte und Trackliste sind bisher noch nicht bekannt gegeben worden.

Illogic & Blockhead team up for a new FREE track for the holidays. This track will not be on their upcoming album Capture the Sun.

"I'm Only A Drop" is the first single from the upcoming collaboration between Illogic and Aaron Evans: Unbeaten Paths "The Dove Ink Sessions . All the song's on the project where recorded from 2002 to 2007 during the era in which Illogic and Aaron Evans (Then known as Eyamme) where running Dove Ink Records together.

This marks the begging of the promo push for "Capture The Sun" Illogic's upcoming album with Blockhead and Aaron's solo debut "F.A.M. (Family Always Matters)

Ich mache mal einen eigenen Thread für Illogic auf, das alles in den Weightless Thread zu packen macht auch keinen Sinn. Den Slug Track hab ich schon mal gehört, find den ziemlich scheisse. Der Track "An Ocean" von Illogic wurde doch auf Write To Death Vol.2 veröffentlicht. Illogic hat im großen und ganzen gute Alben, Celestial Clockwork gefällt mir dabei am Besten. Sein stärkster Track ist für mich "Hate in a Puddle" auf Unforeseen Shadows.

Als Gesamtwerk gefällt mir "Celestial Clockwork" auch am besten. Kann man super durchlaufen lassen. Das "Unforeseen Shadows" hab ich noch nicht all zu lange, konnte mich aber nicht so ganz überzeugen, aber ein paar geile Tracks hat's schon zu bieten, wie eben genanntes "Hate In A Puddle". Gerade zum Ende hin wird's hörenswert. "Got Lyrics" war dagegen aber ein Griff ins Klo. Konnte mit den ganzen Beats so rein gar nichts anfangen. Komplett langweilig produziertes Teil. Auf das neue bin ich aber schon sehr gespannt, vor allem weil ja Ill Poetic das ganze zusammenschustern durfte. Klingt interessant. Die Single vom Celestial Clockwerk Album, "The Only Constant" hab ich auch ne Zeit lang gefeiert, gerade wegen dem Video. Sehr cooles Ding! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Z1m69w5s3I

Die "Unforeseen Shadows" muss ich mir auch noch holen. "Celestial Clockwork" ist natürlich eine wunderbare Platte. In diesem Zusammenhang kann ich immer wieder nur den Track "Time Capsule" mit Vast Aire und Aesop Rock nennen. Wahnsinnsding!!!

FREE New Illogic EP "One Bar Left" on November 25th Columbus emcee Illogic has returned. On tuesday november 25th, Illogic will be releasing a FREE EP titled "One Bar Left" on Weightless Recordings. This EP is for those who have followed illogics career and are ready for some new music! It will be available for free download on Weightelss.net as well as Illogic's myspace page. His long awaited full length album "diabolical fun" will be out this spring on weightless recordings.

Wird vermutlich schon die gleiche Sparte wie die Blueprint Beats werden, finds aber gut. Könnte mir auch vorstellen, dass gar keine Gäste mit drauf sind nach Book Of Human Language Manier.

Die EP habe ich mir noch nicht angehört. Meinte vor allem die Beats von Ill Poetic's eigenem Album, die waren m.E. nicht so der Bringer. Und was die Gastauftritte angeht glaube ich auch nicht dass es überhaupt viele davon geben wird, Illogic ist noch nie so richtig der Freund von featureüberladenen Alben gewesen. Ich denke mehr als, vielleicht auch 3 aus dem Umfeld (Blueprint) wird es dann auch nicht geben, wenn überhaupt... edit: Illogic hat im Weightless Forum auch schon bestätigt dass es kein digital only release sein wird...
