Game Says Song On New LP Makes Him 'The One-Man N.W.A'

Surprised as many people may be to learn that the Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am produced songs on Game's upcoming LP, The Doctor's Advocate, no one is more shocked than Game himself. He admits that he'd previously slept on Will's production skills, but became a true believer when the two got together a few months back to make a record called "Compton..."

"That n---a is talented as a mutha----a!" Game said recently. "My favorite record on this album is a record that Will.I.Am produced — it's like [N.W.A's] 'Straight Outta Compton.' If 'Straight Outta Compton' never hit, this record would've been 'Straight Outta Compton.' But the crazy part about it is it's all me, you know what I'm sayin'? It's not Cube, Eazy, Ren and Dre, it's just me: the one-man N.W.A."

Will also produced another song for Game that may appear on the album, which is due November 14. Scott Storch, Just Blaze, Kanye West and J.R. Rotem also helmed some tracks.

"Me and Kanye did 'Dreams' on the last one," Game said. "That was sort of a feel-good, serious joint. We touched base on a lot of things on that record, it was real heartfelt. So on this one, I kind of wanted to go away from what I did. Like, [because many of] the producers that are on this album were on the last album, I wanted to go in a different direction with them versus doing the same thing. So on this record me and Kanye did a record about chicks, man. It's gonna blow [up]! I don't even wanna tell everybody what the record entails because it's gonna make some [girls] mad, man.

"Just Blaze did three [songs]," he added. "Everybody that hears me and Just Blaze says, 'Y'all got a crazy chemistry.' So if I ever had to let one n---a do my whole album, it would be Just, man. That's a versatile guy who can give you that sh--. Every time he gives me a beat, it takes me no longer than one hour to complete the song. It happened like that on 'Church for Thugs,' it happened like that on 'No More Fun and Games' and it happened on this album. J.R. Rotem did some tracks — he's the next Scott Storch, and he's humble, man. He don't even be knowin' what he creates."

The Game returns November 14th with his second official solo release entitled Doctor’s Advocate. The Compton, California native touches on a range of subjects over beats provided by a plethora of the hip-hop production elite. On the heartfelt “Two Occasions,” the young rapper outlines his familial frustration, including an ongoing miscommunication with his older brother. Kanye West delivers a guest verse on the radio-friendly “Wouldn’t Get Far,” as the two revisit encounters with women on an upbeat West track. The album reaches a high point with “Hate the Game” featuring Nas, a nine-minute epic equipped with a full choir supporting Marsha of Floetry’s soulful vocals. “California Vacation” and “Compton” are two authentic left coast throwbacks, while 9th Wonder provides top-notch eastcoast flair on the smooth “Hang It Up.”

Both normal and deluxe versions of the album will be available November 14th. The special edition includes different artwork and a limited-copy DVD.
