Flipmode's Rampage Returns With New Songs, Album

Perhaps the most successful artist ever introduced by Busta Rhymes, Rampage struck gold, literally, with his 1997 Scouts Honor...By Way of Blood. In the years since leaving behind his major label deal at the now defunct Elektra Records, the Philadelphia-based emcee and businessman laid low, most notably releasing 2006's comeback Have You Seen?
"The Have You Seen? album was satisfying however it was a realistic introduction to the definition of independence and it set the bar for the Ambush album. It developed several opportunities including increasing the fan base, touring, and establishing valuable connects in the Hip Hop game," Rampage told HipHopDX yesterday.
The aforementioned Ambush album, due later this year, is apparently a slow-cooked return to rhyming for the man most notable for his appearance on Craig Mack's historic 1994 "Flava In Ya Ear remix." The new project is largely handled by London producer L-Beatz and Felony Music.
As part of his own Deep Freeze imprint, Rampage has launched DeepFreezeRadio.com [click here to listen] to celebrate his upcoming work with street poet Lyssen, David Rolas and City Boys. Although Deep Freeze is at the center of attention, Rampage did add that, "Flipmode definitely still is a squad."

Busta Rhymes Drafts Linkin Park For New Single


Busta Rhymes has drafted rock act Linkin Park to guest on his new single, "We Made It," a Chris Robinson-directed video for which is being shot today (April 15) in Los Angeles.

The track, which was produced by Cool & Dre and Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, will introduce Rhymes' eighth studio album, "Blessed," due June 17 via Flipmode/Aftermath/Interscope...

"This is one of those songs that can't be described better than touching the souls of the common people," says Rhymes.

Shinoda and Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington will appear in the video. The group previously teamed with Jay-Z for the 2004 album "Collision Course," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200

^ Dann hör dir mal den bereits geleakten Track "Don't Touch Me" an, da rappt er wie schon lange nicht mehr Ganz nebenbei war auch das J-Dilla-Kollabo-Album wirklich hörenswert.

Ich weiß nicht, wie das klingen soll. Mit Dre könnte ich noch leben.
Bei Timbaland und Kanye krich' ich aber schon a little bit würgen im Hals.

Ich glaube, den einzigen Track den ich relativ unvoreingenommen sehe, ist Samurai feat. Ghostface Killah, Raekwon und Method Man.

Bei Features wie Ne-Yo, Nicole Scherzinger, Linkin' Park, Akon, Jamie Foxx, Pharrel, Mary J. Blige, Common und Konsorten brauch man sich glaube ich keine Sorgen mehr machen, da ist schon alles längst zu spät . Wundert mich nur wie er die alle auf ein Album bekommen hat, das dürfte nicht günstig gewesen sein...

also die erste Single ist schon mal gähnend langweilig...

Busta Rhymes The Next To Leave Interscope

According to inside label sources at ThisIs50.com, Busta Rhymes is the next artist to be dropped from Interscope Records. The announcement comes less than a week after Shady Records artist Obie Trice was released from his contract and in the same year Joell Ortiz severed ties with Aftermath Records.

Per the reports, the veteran rapper and Flipmode Squad leader had a conflict with Interscope President Jimmy Iovine that ended with the two parting ways. Busta Rhymes had been working on his second Aftermath/Interscope album, Blessed. A number of songs from that album have already surfaced on the Internet, including "Don't Touch Me (Remix)" featuring an all-star list of emcees new and old.

Since signing with the label in 2005 after a tenure at J Records after starting his successful career with Elektra Records, Busta Rhymes released The Big Bang.


After appearing on Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III, Busta Rhymes also has confirmed appearances on Nas' Untitled album and The Game's L.A.X., making him the only artist to appear on what many are billing, the three biggest rap albums of 2008.

Interscope and Busta Rhymes have yet to confirm these reports.
