Atmosphere mit neuem Album!

Das am 04.01.2005 zur Veröffentlichung über Rhymesayers anstehende Album "Headshots: SE7EN" enthält zwar keine neuen Tracks, beinhaltet aber insgesamt 22 im Zeitraum zwischen 1997 - 1999 aufgenommene Songs mit Featurebeiträgen von u.a. Eyedea, Musab & Mr. Gene Poole. Die Songs wurden bereits als Folge 7 der Headshots Tape-Serie veröffentlicht, und werden somit nächstes Jahr in verbesserter Qualität das erste Mal auf CD & Vinyl erhältlich sein.

Former Death Row Records artist, Tha Realest, will be filming a new DVD this Friday (November 12), which will mix the hottest girls in the porn industry with his thuggish lyrics.

In conjunction with Antigua Pictures - who will distribute the DVD - and Fat Entertainment, Tha Realest will film a hardcore sex video called "Tha Realest: Way 2 Real." The video is being shot around a night club party at the Fatt Entertainment soundstage, who has already booked over a dozen porn stars for the shoot.

"I'll be rocking the mic, electrifying the whole crowd," Tha Realest told AVN.com. "Just the presence of my homeboys and nice-looking women. I've never seen one done like this. This is something different."

Along with the DVD, the rapper will include 8 or 9 original tracks on a CD to accompany the DVD and plans to shoot a Part Two if the DVD sells well.

The rapper says that the video is something and feels good about doing it. "Sex sells man, as bad as people try to make it seem. If the President can get his d--k sucked, I can do this," says Tha Realest.

The DVD is set to drop a few weeks before the rapper's album debut titled Witness The Realest, which is slated for release in February of 2005.

Witness Tha Realest will be released through his own label, Omerta Entertainment. Guest appearances include WC, Napoleon from the Outlawz, Dru Down, B-Legit, Richie Rich, Swoop G, Aaron Hall and more.

"Witness Tha Realest. Witness what I'm all about. I've been through a lot, from being shot [in a 1999 drive-by shooting]. I'm talking on some real shit," the rapper said. "I'm authentic, straight from the curb, in the hood, in the liquor store, in the strip club, traveling, just living life. It's the life experience. Hopefully, people can learn from some of the mistakes I made and what happened to some of my peers and my comrades, and get a dose of Tha Realest."

Ausschreitungen bei den Vibe Awards - Dr.Dre das Opfer


Gestern (Montag 15.November) kam es bei den zweiten offiziellen Vibe Awards in Santa Monica, California zu heftigen Ausschreitungen. Da es noch keine offizielle Statements und Pressetexte gibt, beruhen die folgenden Aussagen auf Augenzeugen, so Allhiphop.com und MTV US.

Während Snoop Dogg und Quincy Jones gerade den "Vibe Legend Award" an Dr.Dre überreichen wollte, wurde dieser plötzlich von einem Unbekannten mit Schlägen ins Gesicht attackiert. Als dann Bodyguards und die G-Unit Crew Dr.Dre helfen und schützen wollten, geriet die Sache komplett außer Kontrolle. Berichten zufolge wurde ein Kollege der G-Unit Crew mit einem Messer verletzt.

Nachdem die Bodyguards und Securitys die Ausschreitungen schlichten konnten, wurde die Show nach 10 Minuten wieder fortgeführt. Dr.Dre bekam seinen Award für sein "Lebenswerk" überreicht und sagte daraufhin in seiner Rede, dass ihm solche Ereignisse nicht fertig machen und ihn das völligkalt lässt.

KOCH Records/Goodie Mob Records has set a January 25, 2005 release date for Livin’ Life Like Lumberjacks, a new studio offering from Lumberjacks. The duo consists of Khujo Goodie and T-Mo Goodie from The Goodie Mob...

The album’s first single, “Turn the Whip” (feat. Big Hustle) will be going for radio airplay at the urban format shortly. The B-side will feature “Puttin’ On 2Nite,” another slammin’ joint from the album.

In true Goodie/ATL tradition, the duo hooks up with producers Organized Noize and DJ Speedy on some of the album’s most inspired tracks. Producers Harris and Stronghouse Productions also lend their skills to Livin’ Life Like Lumberjacks. Additionally, Witchdoctor and Goodie Mob member Big Gipp are each featured on three songs.

Mobb Deep affiliate Big Noyd, finally dropped his official debut album Only The Strong, last year - following up '95's Espisodes Of A Hustla EP. With Noyd hard at work, he is putting his finishing touches on his forthcoming sophomore release, On The Grind.

The aptly-titled On The Grind, is just what the Queensbridge native has been doing. He has made several guest appearances on such albums as Masta Ace's Long Hot Summer, Alchemist's 1st Infantry, and on Mobb Deep's latest Amerikaz Nightmare.

His forthcoming album is primarily produced by Havoc and Ric Rude (who has also produced tracks for Prodigy’s solo-debut, Littles, Infamous Mobb, Tragedy Khadafi, Rahzel and Destiny’s Child), but also features production by Alchemist and Masberg. Like much of his work, finds him collaborating with his Infamous family almost exclusively. Prodigy and Havoc appear on eight of the album's tracks including the Ric Rude-produced lead single, "Come Thru."

With rumors circulating of turmoil within the Infamous camp, Noyd dismisses them stating, "To me, Havoc and Alchemist are the illest producers on the planet; forget about the rumors, there ain't no team like the Infamous team."

On the heels of the album's release, Noyd is set to perform for select shows with G-Unit's Lloyd Banks and also touring overseas with Jin in China. Besides the shows and his new release, Noyd is the lead-character in Mobb Deep's "Murda Muzik" documentary.

On The Grind is slated to drop on January 25, 2005.

Neues von BBE Records bzw. Pete Rock! Mit "Pete Rock - The Surviving Elements: From Soul Survivor II Sessions" wird es 2005 eine neue Compilation geben, die alle Beats featuren wird, die ursprünglich für "Soul Survivor 2" geplant waren und es im Ergebnis doch nicht auf den Longplayer geschafft haben.

Außerdem werkelt gerade niemand geringeres als Jay Dee a.k.a. J-Dilla an einem neuen Album über BBE, Titel und weitere Details gibt es zum momentanen Zeitpunkt noch nicht.

Des weiteren wird es eine Kings of Hip Hop Compilation geben, die als Doppel CD erscheinen wird. DJ Premier wird die Breaks Selection übernehmen, Mr. Thing ist für die HipHop Auswahl verantwortlich.

The Diggin' In The Crates crew - composed of Showbiz & AG, Big L,
Buckwild, Diamond D, Fat Joe, Lord Finesse & OC - is working on a new LP.

Jayo Felony has been hard at work recording tracks for his upcoming album In The Trenches which will be released through Treacherous/Universal.

Earlier today Jayo informed me that the album will be dropping in April of 2005!

He also asked me to quote a few things in regards to some of the things that Daz has been saying recently in Internet interviews and audio drops:

"Forget all of this going back and forth. Where is my fair one? You haven't addressed nothing about a "Thunder." I'll meet you up anytime anywhere even in Long Beach. We can even meet at VIP. Nobody has to die over this but we can throw em down and handle it like men."

As for the assertion by Daz and others that Tray Dee beat him down:

"How could he have beat me down if we've never even fought? If we had fought then I can say he whooped my ass or I won. But we've never gotten down so I don't know why he's (Daz) even making that shit up".

Die Schöne & das Biest: Lil Jon & Paris Hilton ein Paar...!

Wenn man Gerüchten aus US Promikreisen glauben darf, teilen das millionenschwere Partyluder Paris Hilton und der zur Zeit angesagteste Hip Hop Produzent und Megastar Lil'Jon (Usher „Yeah“) mehr als nur den roten Teppich miteinander. Angeblich soll die neue Flamme sogar bald in Lil'Jons neuestem Streifen eine Hauptrolle spielen. Beide, der selbsternannte King of Crunk und die millionenschwere Paris, sind bereits für ihre Ausflüge in die Welt der „Filme für Erwachsene“ bekannt. Auf Nachfrage eines großen US-Boulevardmagazins halten sich die Managements noch bedeckt, wir dürfen noch sehr gespannt sein, wie sich die Geschichte weiter entwickeln wird.

Was ist das denn wieder für ein Promo-Gag ?
