Ein paar Wu-Tang News:

Zitat:
Breaking Newz: We have just been informed on the progress of the 5th Wu-Tang Clan album. So far, they have recorded 10 songs and RZA is orchestrating a live band to back up the Clan. So far though; Cappadonna, Ghostface Killah and U-God have not appeared on any of the tracks. Even vocals of Ol' Dirty Bastard are on this album. More newz will follow.

Zitat:
It has been confirmed by Timbo King, that the long awaited "Black Castle" album will be released November 1st, 2005 on Nature Sounds Records. This album has been in the making since the early 1990's, and will finally be released to the public.

"Big L brought me in the scene and I used to rhyme with him...when they used to do records, God bless the dead they would never put me on the records. But all ogf the hot lines he was saying, and even in his grave I gotta tell this, those were my lines. I used to say those lines in the park and they would put them out in song."

:stupid:

Neues Album von Kaze Anfang nächsten Jahres, Features u.a. von Immortal Technique und Royce da 5'9":

Zitat:
What up fam, friends, hip-hop heads, and haters. Its your boy putting you up on all that's been going on here recently. I am currently still promoting "The Spirit of '94 version 9.0" as hard as ever. The response and feedback off the joint has been great, and some noise has been made across the globe now. Thanks to all of y'all for that love and support, (especially the folks who actually buy my sh*t instead of burning it.) I am in the process of constructing a classic, the new album "BLOCK 2the BASEMENT." Thugs and backpackers will finally see eye to eye after this sh*t... Those of y'all that know my style recognize my desire to be as versatile as possible while ripping emcees asses apart. Well I have been slaving over this stove for a minute, the plan was to do 30 songs and then put together a new album....well I'm already at 20 so I figure we'll go to 40 and see what we got. Sick sh*t homey, and I don't toot my own horn. North Carolina producers will be repped to the fullest on this. Guest appearances thus far include Royce the 5'9" and an upcoming track w/ Immortal Technique, production by Rhettmatic of the Beat Junkies n' that ain't all! LABELS THERE IS NO HOME FOR THIS ALBUM YET!! But that has never stopped me before so.... Stay tuned. START THE SPECULATIVE GOSSIP and UNDER YOUR BREATH HATE IMMEDIATELY!!! BLOCK 2the BASEMENT. COMING SPRING 2006, Biatch! Set your watch to it. In other news....

Albany, Georgia Hip-Hop duo Field Mob has inked a deal with Ludacris' Disturbing Tha Peace label to release their third album Light Poles and Pine Trees...

“As Disturbing Tha Peace continues to grow, we are proud to have them as an addition to our brand,” Ludacris told AllHipHop.com. “We [Disturbing Tha Peace] are here to broaden their appeal as being two of the leading lyricists from the south. I expect just as much from them as they do from us.”

Group members Shawn Jay and Smoke explained the meaning behind the album’s title.

"The name of the album is Light Poles and Pine Trees because there ain't no skyline where we're from," Shawn Jay said. "There's no arch like in St. Louis or palm trees like California," continued Smoke aka Chevy Pendagrass. "You look up and that's what you see in Albany."

The release of the unofficial single in "Georgia" features Ludacris and a sampled hook from Ray Charles’ “Georgia on My Mind,” which is also the official song of the state of Georgia.

The first official single will be "Friday Night," which also features Ludacris and is produced by Kenjo.

The album will feature collaborations with Ludacris, Ciara, Bone Crusher, Bobby Valentino, and others.

"I feel like we're the most posturpedic group in the industry right now," says Shawn Jay. "Meaning, we're the most slept-on artists. Other artists know that if them boys get a little bit of light, its over."

Light Poles and Pine Trees is slated to drop in November on Disturbing Tha Peace/Geffen Records.

Q-Unique-News:

Zitat:
On the grind with Q-Unique after the release of his first solo album “Vengeance Is Mine” on Uncle Howie Records, Q has not stopped his drive for success. He has collected many frequent flier miles traveling to shows in the U.S. as well as overseas showing love to all of his fans and awing people who have never seen him on stage. In the studio he has been featured on Necro’s Street Villans Vol. 2 and the new Tony Touch album “Reggaetony” featuring Q, Tony Touch and Pitbull. He is gearing up to release a fully produced CD called “Guilty By Association” taking his production skills to a more visible level with guest features including all original members of The Arsonists. Recently produced tracks for Raekwon of Wu Tang, formed a production company “Ill & Unique” with Ill Bill of Non Phixion, and if that isn’t enough, he has also teamed up with Fieldy the bass player from the Rock group Korn for Q’s new album. On the tube Q has guest featured on Si TV’s “The Drop” and on Mundos’ “The Roof” and has co-hosted on CBS’s “American Latino TV”. That’s just a taste as to what Q-Unique has been doing for the past of months…until next time…

It's been six years since hip-hop legend Dr. Dre's last studio album, and its planned follow-up, reportedly titled "Detox," seems no closer to completion.

But one of his key collaborators tells Billboard.com Dre is continuing to work on new music and still plans to release another album, even if it takes several more years to do the job right.

"There will be another Dr. Dre solo album, without a doubt," says bassist Mike Elizondo, who began working with the artist on the 1999 album "Dr. Dre -- 2001" and has since been a fixture on Dre-produced recordings by Xzibit, Eminem and the Game.

"Dre has very high standards," Elizondo responded when asked what is taking so long. "He wants to shock the world and put something out that no one would have ever thought possible from a hip-hop artist. He's definitely going to take his time and make sure it's right, but there will be a collection of songs that will come out as a Dr. Dre solo album."

However, the timetable for finishing the album remains murky. Asked if Elizondo had played on any of the tracks to date, he replied, "We've been working. There's a team assembled and we'll definitely continue moving forward on that."

"Dr. Dre -- 2001" debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 7 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Marion "Suge" Knight was shot inside of a Miami night Club during a Kanye West-sponsored party for MTV's Video Music Awards, according to people in attendance. The Death Row founder was admitted to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg and is in good condition.
Knight was attending the Shore Club in Miami where Kanye West, Common and John Legend held a G.O.O.D. Music party.

Unsubstantiated sources at the Shore Club told AllHipHop.com that at least six shots were fired and the shooter was apprehended at the scene.

Julia Beverly, publisher/editor of OZONE Magazine, was headed inside the club when she said police rushed inside.

"I don't think anybody knows exactly what happened. I was walking in and a cop shoved me back and police are telling me Suge got shot," Beverly told AllHipHop.com. "They had about three or four blocks taped off. Some people are talking out of their a** and there are rumors flying every where."

Another eyewitness inside of the club when the shooting took place spoke under the condition of anonymity.

"We heard shooting. Everybody got on the floor, but you couldn't see anything. I couldn't see, but I believe Suge was hit in the leg. I didn't see it but that's what people said," the witness said.

There were approximately 600 people inside of the Shore Club people at the time of the shooting.

Police were not available for comment as of press time.

According to reports, Dr. Dre's Detox -- the long-awaited follow up to 1999's The Chronic 2001 -- will finally hit stores shelves this October.

The Detox project has been delayed for over two years now, causing many hip hop fans and -- even reps at Dre's label -- to be skeptical of the album's release date. At press time, Interscope officials tell SOHH.com that Detox isn't even on their official release schedule. The hold up, according to sources close to Dre, has been the producer's penchant for perfection.

Dre has reportedly been entrenched in the studio with several collaborators to complete the Detox album. According to one source, the award-winning producer has submitted over 50 beats for the album and regularly tweaks his production.

"Dre has very high standards," Mike Elizondo told Billboard. Bass-player Elizondo has worked on several projects with Dre, including Eminem, The Game and Xzibit albums, and is currently collaborating with Dre on Detox. "He wants to shock the world and put something out that no one would have ever thought possible from a hip-hop artist. He's definitely going to take his time and make sure it's right."

Meanwhile, Dre has been busy at work with his other projects. He recently collaborated with Mary J. Blige on her latest release, which also features production from The Neptunes, Kanye West, and Swizz Beats.

Look for the highly-anticipated Detox to hit stores in October... possibly.
