Keith Murray To Return With New Album This Summer
Acclaimed rapper and hip-hop veteran, Keith Murray, is gearing up to release, Rap-Murr-Phobia (Fear of Real Hip Hop), a new album dropping on Koch Records.
The album will be the rapper's first in nearly four years, following his 2003 Def Jam album, He's Keith Murray. It will include features collaborations with the likes of Tyrese, Method Man and Murray's Def Squad bandmates, Redman and Erick Sermon (who also serves as executive producer).
The first single off of the album will be "Nobody Do It Better," featuring Tyrese and Junior. A video is scheduled to be filmed in Los Angeles in early June.
In 1995, Murray's debut album, The Most Beautifullest Thing In This World, went gold and took the hip-hop world by storm. He went on to release three more solo records: Enigma, featuring the hit track "The Rhyme"; It's A Beautiful Thing; and He's Keith Murray.
He is also a member of legendary hip-hop super group Def Squad. Along with members Redman and Erick Sermon, the group released the album El Nino, which went gold and included the hit singles, "Full Cooperation," and "Rappers Delight."
Keith Murray is planning to head out on tour in support of the forthcoming record this summer.
Rap-Murr-Phobia (Fear of Real Hip Hop) is slated for release July 31.
