Heather Hunter: DJ Premier produziert für Porno Queen!

Ei, da schau her!

One of our favorite MCs of all time is back and focused in the studio. Don't think Beanie Sigel's "Bread and Butter" is going to be the end of us hearing from the imperial Grand Puba: He's linked up with Busta Rhymes and is in the midst of recording his own album.

"Right now I'm in the studio working on my project," Puba said last week. "I got seven songs done and I'm working closely with Busta Rhymes, who's hitting me off with production. I'm trying to make it crazy again."

Puba has a real crazy record on Missy Elliott's upcoming album, The Cookbook, named "My Struggles," which also features Mary J. Blige. After linking back up with MJB and taking it back to the What's the 411? days, he wants her on his album.

"I think me and Mary could make some things pop off, make some magic," he says. Puba also wants to collaborate with Beanie Sigel again and hopefully connect thoughts with Raekwon, Snoop Dogg and of course his group, Brand Nubian

After a brief hiatus away from the game, Capone is back with a vengeance. Five years after the Capone-n-Noriega Reunion album (2000), Capone is set to release his first solo record on Fastlife Music. Pain, Time & Glory will be released on July 12th, and features guests Akon, Devin The Dude, Scarface, Raekwon, C-Murder, Butch Cassidy, and Peedi Crackk. The album also features production from The Heatmakerz (Diplomats), Twinz, Screwface, Nexxus Entertainment, Reefa, Dub Z and DJ Absolut...

“I am definitely excited about this album; it's time for the game to see what I've been doing. I want to dedicate this album to the ‘hood because the ‘hood kept me afloat all these years. Every song on this album is real, whether party or pain, it's time for the PTG experience," says Capone.

Capone was one-half of the Queens based powerhouse group Capone-N-Noreaga, a duo which sold over 1 million albums in their short-lived career. The pair met at the Collins Correctional Facility in New York, quickly hitting it off. Capone was from the Queensbridge Projects and Noreaga was from Lefrak City. Shortly before finishing the recording of their debut album, War Report (1997), Capone was sent to prison for breaking parole on a weapons charge, but War Report became an underground hit and went gold. Noreaga released two solo albums while Capone was incarcerated, and upon his release, the duo released The Reunion, which also went gold.

Fans who loved the duo CNN will not be disappointed with Pain, Time & Glory. Older and much wiser, Capone has taken his past experiences and created an impressive album with club bangers, street anthems and even a song or two to charm the ladies.

Tracklisting and credits for Capone’s Pain, Time & Glory:

1. Intro (produced by The Heatmakerz)
2. The Release [Skit]
3. Soldier's Story (produced by The Heatmakerz)
4. She Wanna Ride f/Akon (produced by Screwface)
5. Where The Stuff At f/C-Murder & Bun-B (produced by Nexxus Entertainment)
6. Diet Plan (produced by Dub Z)

9. It's Been A Long Time (produced by Screwface)
10. I'm Gone f/Devin The Dude & Butch Cassidy (produced by Screwface)
11. Crack Muzik f/PTG (produced by The Heatmakerz)
12. I'll Die For Mine (produced by SPK)
13. The Manual (produced by Twinz
14. F#@k Yo Set (produced by Reefa)
15. Miss My Dogs (produced by Nexxus Entertainment)

Adding to the strength of this project, Capone introduces his New York-based camp featuring Young G, Double O, Black Box, Speede, 1100 and Sha Nitt.

Capone will be releasing his solo-debut, Pain, Time & Glory on July 12th on Pain, Time & Glory Enterprises/Fastlife Music.

M.O.P. Split From Roc-A-Fella And Dame Dash

"I want you to understand that Dame Dash doesn't own Roc-A-Fella any more, and as of December 13, we actually obtained our release" from the label, said M.O.P. manager Laze E. Laze. "We saw the company was going in a different direction. To me, Roc-A-Fella's over."

Laze's announcement late last week served as public notification of the group's split from both the Damon Dash Music Group and Roc-A-Fella Records, although it apparently occurred some time ago.

The duo — consisting of MCs Lil' Fame and Billy Danzenie — had been on the label for more than three years, but have just a few unofficially released tracks to show for it. The only album they've released in that time, the Mash Out Posse rock mash-up album, was released on their own First Family label (through Koch).

"We need to be somewhere comfortable, and we wasn't really comfortable over there," Danzenie said.

Now, M.O.P. are looking to join forces with a label that's willing to release and support the four albums the group says it recorded during its Roc tenure. The album's titles are Ghetto Warfare, The Last Generation, a mixtape called The St. Marksman and the longwindedly titled Kill N---a Die Slo Bluckka Bluckka Bloaoow Blood Sweat Tears and We Out.

The group is hoping to release Ghetto Warfare first, in the fall, and Danzenie said the duo are considering making The Last Generation their final release. "I think that I'm going to let the people decide if that should be that last M.O.P. album," he said. "But we got like 60 or 70 songs, and we still do two or three a week."

And despite his strong words, Laze noted that he hasn't closed the door entirely on either Dash or the Roc. "We're still talking to DDMG about doing something with him, more from a label standpoint," he said. "And [we'd consider] even Jay, if he came to us with a situation that's not just an artist on the Roc assembly line." Laze said he's also talking with Koch, Atlantic, the Warner Music imprint Asylum and G-Unit Records.

"50 was shooting Get Rich or Die Tryin' in Canada and he calls Fox," Laze recalled, referring to M.O.P.'s female auxiliary member. "He said, 'I'm hearing records on the radio, you guys are killing it. What the f--- are they doing with you?' So after that, we met with 50 and had a great conversation where he said, 'You may think I'm crazy in the controversy that I'm in, but I haven't failed yet. We sell millions of albums, I wanna do a deal.' I can actually say that we were talking on a day-to-day basis with 50 about possibly doing a deal. Our doors are open."

An Interscope representive declined comment, while a Koch spokesperson confirmed that the label is interested in the Brooklyn duo. Asylum, however, denies that they are talking with the newly freed agents.

And after acting in Dame Dash Films' "State Property 2," the duo are gearing up to shoot a reality show called "Boot Camp Cold Turkey" in Pennsylvania, through their Blaze Films production company. The show, which they plan to shop to television networks when it's finished, details their experiences in a four-week boot camp at the hands of Navy SEALs. Of course, the duo have other projects in the works.

"We're getting into the beverages now," Danzenie said. "We got a coconut rum liquor called XXX. And we're doing movies, starting on a project called 'Creepers' — porn. We're not acting, but we are producing it."

And interestingly, amid the fallout from their Roc-A-Fella deal, Billy seemed downright wistful about Jay and Dame's split. "I don't think it's right, because these guys built an empire together," he said (see "Dame Dash Says He's Staying Involved With Roc-A-Fella Roster"). "I had conversations with both of them and they appear strong enough to stand on their own, but nobody wants to see Jay without Dame, or Dame without Jay. That's what M.O.P. is built on anyway — we're loyalists. If we don't got each other then we ain't got nothing."

GZA aka Genius will be taking over the stage for a limited series of dates to promote his highly anticipated Koch/ Babygrande Records debut album. The Babygrande premier LP, tentatively entitled The GZA Presents, is expected to drop in the latter part of 2005. The album will definitely feature classic Wu-Tang collaborations.

Genius will be joined on his Spring '05 East Coast exclusive concert series by the likes of raw underground emcees such as J-Live, Vast Aire and C-Rayz Walz.

The Gza's ne material will add to his classic catalog which dates back to 1991 and include shot joints like the gold-selling Liquid Swords, Words From The Genius, Beneath The Surface, and Legend of the Liquid Sword. The GZA Presents is expected to return GZA to his prolific emcee status.

Dr. Dre will hit the studio in July to work on his next solo album, Detox. His producer Focus said that he's submitted "close to 50 beats" for the album, and anticipates that they'll be in a Los Angeles studio for about seven months to work on the project.

The Hip Hop world has just been struck with a huge blow, Justo Faison, the founder/creator of The Justo's Mixtape Awards, has passed. According to sources, he was in driving in Richmond, Virgina, doing promotions, which ended in a fatal car accident, early Saturday morning.

I was getting my Oil changed when I got the phone call from DJ Warrior about Justo's passing. It was saddening to hear, to say the very least. I had the pleasure of meeting Justo twice when he was out here in L.A. recently. He showed me a lot of love. I thanked him for showing the West Coast love at a predominatly East Coast function. I knew, just by talking to him, he had no cares about East Coast/West Coast or anything of the sort. He wanted to see Hip Hop progress, as a whole. He will be missed.

"Justo is a person that gave me, not only business, but personal advice, as well. He made Mixtapes official to the industry. He took it to another level for a person like me, who came from nothing and had been grinding so long. I can say that I got my break, to a certain degree, because of him. The Mixtape Awards got me recognition throughout the Hip Hop world. Rest in Peace to him. My Condolences to his family. This is Big loss for Hip Hop today. He was a legend." - DJ Warrior of Cali Untouchable DJs.

As the news came in, so did the phone calls and E-Mails of people sending their condolences and speaking on this tragic news. Here's some quotes from DJ's and Artists.

"Justo made mixtapes happen, he was the one who brought the industry to love mixtapes, to get their artists out. He gave the DJ the strive to make a good mixtape, he brought the awards where the DJs would think if I made a hot mixtape and if I was consistant maybe I would win one. Justo is a legend to the DJs and a great man he will be missed. May Justo R.I.P.." - DJ Papa Smirf

"Big ups to my man Justo, the true Mixtape King. He helped make Mixtape DJ's and Artists. He was able to break down the barriers and bring together the East Coast, West Coast, South, Midwest, Reggae, Reggaeton, etc. He'll be missed. My condolences go out to him and his family." - DJ Hideo of Cali Untouchable DJs.

"Rest in Peace to one of the coolest niggas. He was a real good brotha from the streets to the corporate shit. My condolences." - Chace Infinite of Self Scientific.

"Rest in Peace to Justo. Condolences to him and his family from Strong Arm Steady. He had a great vision for Hip Hop. Furthering everything cats were doing in the U.S. and took it all over the world. Justo gave a platform, something to look for, more so than other hierarchy of award shows. He set tone for real cats in the street makin' names for themselves. From East Coast to West Coast to London. He'll be missed, gotta keep his legacy pushing and alive." - Krondon of Strong Arm Steady.

"Salutes to Justo. This is a tragic loss to Hip Hop. He did a lot for Mixtape DJs when he didn't have to. To be nominated and apart of the Award's is an honor. On behalf of all Cali Untouchable DJs. Condolences to him, his family, friends. I wish it didn't happen. Again, this is a big loss for Hip Hop. He was a Father figure. Hope to see legacy live on. Hope its like Oscar's of Hip Hop for DJs." - DJ Strong of Cali Untouchable DJs.

"In 2003, I moved to NY from Oakland, California, dead broke with dreams of making it in the DJ business. After only being in NY for a week, totally unknown, Justo reached out to me and offered to drive me around to all the boroughs and educate me in the Mixtape game. From that moment on, Justo became my homeboy. Throughout my DJ grind, whenever I had a question or problem, Justo was always ready to listen and help out. If you were real with Justo, he would ride with you no matter what. Those that didn't like him, he didn't do that industry bullshit and pretend to like them either. In 2004 I won a Mixtape of the Year Award. This was an incredible feeling. But my greatest Hip Hop moment was being nominated for a Mixtape Award in 2003, where I sat at Justo's Mixtape Awards at the plushed out Manhattan Center alongside legends like Kid Capri and Redman. At the moment, I went from being a Hip Hop fan to feeling like I was part of the Hip Hop movement - my greatest award ever. I owe all that to Justo." - DJ Vlad.

Tragic loss! I never met him personally but heard nothin' but good things about him. Justo was the pulse of the street, his Award was something that represented hard work and really what this music is: The Streets." - Balance.

"He was doing something good for the community and had a good outlook on Hip Hop. Rest in Peace." - Styles P of The Lox.

“Devestating. He had plans to do the Awards in Madison Square. That was his goal to get there. That was the hugest thing for Hip Hop. He had been working on that. He wanted the world to know what the Mixtape awards were about. Its gonna be hard to replace him. He did the most for Mixtape djs. He put money in DJs pockets. There was nothing like the Mixtape Awards. Huge loss to the Mixtape world. Its gonna be hard to do anything he ever did. He had plans to do a Justo Mixtape every week. He started it last week. He was gonna be on Rap City on May 22nd. He had a good heart. For some to recognize DJs, you have to have a good heart. Hes gone be missed and it’s a big loss he made Mixtapes commercial, nobody ever did that.” - DJ SynCity

"You can't measure what he has done for Hip-Hop on a whole. He is a big reason why we have moved 101,000 since 2001." - Annonymous Records.

Justo recently released a DVD Documentary about the Mixtape Awards. For those who never knew him and those who did, PLEASE Cop The Mixtape Documentary!!!

Let's keep the Legacy alive and keep his dream intact! R.I.P. to a true legend and great person. Dubcnn sends our condolences to Justo and his entire Family and Friends.

We will be Editing this post, adding more shout outs, as well as Pictures and Audio, over the next few days. Continue to pay attention to this.

R.I.P. Justo Faison

Statt DJ Green Lantern wird in Zukunft The Alchemist für Eminem den DJ machen... der hat ja auch einen kometenhaften Aufstieg hingelegt, ich werde seine gute alten Beats vermissen... :D

Bild

Eminem has a new DJ and Green Lanterns replacement is a familiar face to Hip-Hop.

The Alchemist, normally affiliated with Mobb Deep, has accepted a position with Em as his new in-house spin doctor.

Al told AllhipHop.com, “Basically, we are under the same management. My brother Neal [Maman] and Paul [Paul Rosenburg, Shady Records/Goliath Artists executive] stepped up and they came up with the idea. They approached him and then they approached me and asked me if I was with it. And I said, ‘Yeah.’”

DJ Green Lantern, Eminem’s former DJ, voluntarily left Shady Records after a conversation with 50 Cent adversary Jadakiss was unknowingly taped in a conversation about the pair’s beef.

Alchemist didn’t even have to audition for the lyrical Detroit piston and Alchemist stated that he’s been on the 1’s and 2’s with Mobb Deep. “For the last four years now, I’ve been doing the Mobb Deep tours,” he explained. “I’ve been holding it down. And before that I came up with Muggs and Cypress [Hill]. I have a good background in rocking the show.”

The DJ, who released 1st Infantry (Koch) last year, certainly sees advantage in being party to heavy-hitters like Eminem, G-Unit and others, but he said he was keeping it all in perspective.

“Right now, I am just dealing with the situation of being Eminem’s DJ and, of course I am always going to be doing beats. I’m not just going to be a DJ,” he said. “I would love to [do beats for Eminem], that would be great. I definitely look forward to that. His shit is incredible. I’m sure we have a mutual respect as far as music [is concerned]. If the opportunity ever arises, I’m sure we would make some incredible music. But, right now the issue at hand is to handle the tour and be Em’s DJ.”

“This is like a blessing and I am taking it as it comes,” he concluded. “As creative people, we are always moved by other creative people.”

The Anger Management Tour starts in July 2005.

Winding up, he said that he’s still working with Mobb Deep on new music. “I don’t want to plug anything yet but, we’ve been leaking songs out a little but. Being that they are between deals right now, we’re keeping the music coming. We’re leaking joints for the fans to let them know, we got this.”

DMX Back 'Again' With New Album

Rapper DMX will return late next month with a new studio album, "Here We Go Again." Due June 28 via Ruff Ryders/Def Jam, the set is led by the single "Give Em What They Want," which recently premiered on AOL Music. A video for the cut was shot last week in Miami.

Although the track list for "Here We Go Again" is still under wraps, DMX has teamed with in-demand producer Scott Storch as well as longtime collaborators Swizz Beatz and P.K.

CHECK INSIDE FOR MORE...

The set is the follow-up to 2003's "Grand Champ," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1.15 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Of late, DMX (real name: Earl Simmons) has been in the news as much for his brushes with the law as for his music. Last month, he was arrested after the car he was driving struck another vehicle on New York's Major Deegan Expressway, causing the second car to then hit an unmarked police cruiser.

In June 2004, he was taken into custody for driving his car into a gate at JFK Airport and telling the parking lot attendant he was a federal agent. He pleaded guilty in that case and received a conditional discharge, meaning that future violations could result in jail time.

Kein großer Verlust für die Rapwelt oder doch nur Comeback-Vorbereitung?

Zitat:
Jin Says Rap Career Is Over, Records 'I Quit'

Rapper Jin has revealed that he is throwing the towel in on his rap career and is putting his job as an emcee on hold, while he explores other options.

The fate of the rapper’s record deal was the subject of rumors over the past month and while the label never officially dropped the rapper there was no need, as he announced today that he is calling it quits.

“No more studio for me,” Jin said. “Them 2F2F (The “Too Fast, Too Furious” movie which Jin had a major role) checks weren't too bad and going to movie premieres was pretty fun. Maybe I should seriously devote myself to an acting career. The opportunities are definitely there.”

Jin hit big with the novelty song “Learn Chinese” in 2003, but Ruff Ryders failed to capitalize on the single’s success. After several delays, his debut The Rest is History finally saw the light of day, but suffered due to lack of promotion, despite production from Swizz Beats and appearances from Kanye West, Wyclef and double R crew member Styles P.

“Maybe what needs to be focused on is what I have accomplished (which in my heart is a whole lot and I'm damn proud of that) with my time as opposed to what I haven't accomplished yet," Jin stated. "For what it's worth, I know that the 100,000 (give or take, since some of you went and bought like 5 copies) of ya'll that went out and bought T.R.I.H. did it solely because you were supporters of me and my music…and not because the radio or TV brainwashed you into thinking I'm the hottest sh*t out there, being that I was barely on either one.”

Jin signed a deal with Ruff Ryders Records, after consecutively winning BET’s popular Freestyle Friday competitions on the countdown show 106 & Park.

The rapper recently released a song explaining his decision titled “I Quit.”

Young Bleed - 3 New Albums !!!

Young Bleed is part hustler, part philosoperhizer, part preacher and all the way real. So it should come as no suprise that the Louisiana raised Rhymers stunning new album "One Upon A Time In Amedica" is a compelling artistic statement from one of raps most gifted poets. Young Bleed says "Im considering this album an autobiography of a young man coming of age in the Southern Ghettos Of North America.

One lesson Young Bleed learned early was that money makes the world go round. That's one of the reasons why the high energy "Get Ya Paper Right" was Bleed's choice for his first lead single. "It has a national vibe to where it doesn't sound just down South, west coast, or East Coast. "Bleed says of the addictive song, whic was produced by Bosko. "Its strong and it fits the place and time since im talking about getting your paper. Living in America is all about the hustle and the bustle, so I feel like its a statement of the state. You've got to eat and live and it takes money to get it."

He brings you back to the smooth sounding compelling music for the streets and shows you the insight of him being called a street preacher with tracks like "Block Bleeding" and "Tear This Motherfucker Up" which will move just about any crowd.

Bleed then takes a deep look into the effect of money on "Music And Money" which was produced and features David Banner. Teaming with this southern hip hop star who hails from Mississippi holds a special significance for Bleed. "Its a Louisiana and Mississippi collaboration and we are the last states to get anything."

Once Upon A Time In Amedica is the latest masterpiece in Young Bleed's impressive musical resume. After being nationally introduced on Master P's platinum Im Bout It Soundtrack smash "How Ya Do Dat" single, the Baton Rouge Louisiana rapper released in 1998 his dynamic debut album the acclaimed Platinum My Balls And My Word. Bleed returned two years later with the equally compelling My Own. that album established Bleed as a solo artist who could stand on his own creative footing. While recording his third collection. Bleed enjoyed success by launching Da'Tention Home Entertainment with his manager Uncle Pauly, but he also lost several of his family members before the release of 2002's vintage.

"Vintage is a look back at all the people that helped and supported me" Bleed says "I had a lot of homeboys and family members within that time of 2002 that had funerals. I was burying my people I was giving back and looking back."

Bleed gave back aging in 2004 with the release of Young Bleed Presents Da Carleone Family's - Family Business, a compilation featured of Bleed's hand picked favorite local artists. He also collaborated in 2004 with fellow No Limit member Magic on the club smash "I Smoke I Drank" which put blood in touch with long time admirer Roy Jones.

Impressed by Jones business mind, Bleed decided to join forces with Body Head for his new album Once Upon A Time In Amedica.

Bleed also plans to release other albums in the near future one called Off The Scale which is a collaborative effort with Big Tuck from Texas. The Other is Rise Through The Ranks - From Rider To Capo which will be released in conjunction with C-Bo's West Coast Mafia label.

Black Saturday is the story of Gary Guns (Mr. Magic), the most notorious street hustler that New Orleans has ever seen. After serving a ten year bid in prison, he is back on the streets. Determined to get back to his previous “street kingpin” status, Gary plans to rob two local dealers and their crack house to defend his old turf. But the planned heist turns into complete pandemonium when the mayor’s daughter is trapped inside of the crack house that the dealers work out of. The Mayor authorizes the police to shoot first and ask questions later in order to save his daughter from the bloody street war. On this black Saturday morning the streets will run red with blood.

In Stores June 21st
