anderlecht been real weak this year...i admitt...shame on them for playin so wack sometimes...
but i still stay a fan 4 life...hell yea...they'll do better next year, im positive...

I know that this will hit you at your heart but when was the last time that Anderlecht won a game in the CL? Didn't they lose 10 or 15 games in a row ?

Ok, I will stop now . Anderlecht still has a big name because of their successful history but they can't fulfill the expectations everybody has (it's the same with some German Clubs). In my opinion the reason for this is the modus of the CL. Before they changed it (I guess it was in 1991 ) the only club taking part in the UEFA national Champion Cup was the real national Champion. That was the chance for underdog clubs with lower financial potential to make it to the top and get some honor. A lot of people watched this cup because of these comparisons and the tension it got from that. Today the only thing that matters is the money so they changed the system. Why do the first four teams of a national league play ín a cup that is called the Champions League? ManU, Real, Werder, Udinese etc., what was their position in their national league at the end of last season? Years ago it was an honor to play in this cup, today most of the clubs have to do so otherwise they get financial problems. I hate these commercial thoughts...

ya hardly see any underdogs win games...in the past it was still possible...
i remember anderlecht goin to the second round after beatin real, psv and porto...
that was years ago...now for some reason, stuff like that dont happen anymore...
also i agree...its not normal to have 4 spanish, 4 italian, 3 english, 3 german teams, etc...
(might be not correct, but ya know what i mean)...
CL should just go back to the Champion...and the winner of last year...
but then it wouldnt be so 'interesting' with all those great teams...i dunno...
dont think there is really a way back now...

And you are right, there is no way back. Money dominates this game as well. I wish we could go back to the old times but that is impossible right now because the top clubs need the money they get at the CL. Let's put it like that: it is not the UEFA National Championship Cup anymore, it is more like the European Championship for Club teams....

nee null . ist einfach so . kein vorwurf . hab nichts gegen die münchner sind einfach der beste deutsche verein und haben sich das über jahre erarbeitet . außerdem sind sie das aushängeschild des deutschen fußballs im internationalen vergleich . die anderen reißen ja meistens nichts mehr
