It seems a long time ago now since dubcnn exposed the world to the talent that is Bishop Lamont. In the years that have now passed he has gone from a promising newcomer to working with the highest echelons of the indusrty in a short time.

Since signing with Dr. Dre's own Aftermath Records Bishop Lamont has been working tirelessly in the studio recording and writing for his own debut album entitled "The Reformation" as well as the most shrowded release in Hip-Hop history, Dr. Dre's "Detox."

In the midst of all this recording a track has emerged that is being hailed as Bishop's street single designed to increase the buzz, get people talking and most importantly asking the questions, "Who is Bishop Lamont and when is his album out?"

Bishop Lamont has gathered two of the WestCoast's other brightest talents "Mr 1.7 Million" Glasses Malone and the incredible Chevy Jones for the track "Up & Down" which is produced by Scott Storch

The street single is from the debut album "The Reformation" which as previously mentioned with be on Aftermath Entertainment and is due for release next year.

Sie sprechen dort u.a. über Game's Diss, über die älteren Rapper der Westcoast, welche sich von der New West gedisst fühlen etc.
Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Bishop Lamont has been hard at work lately. He's been in the studio night and day recording music in preperation for an explosive 2007 for Aftermath. Bishop's debut "The Reformation" is currently scheduled for Summer of next year, with Dr. Dre's "DETOX" following in the Fall. In the meantime, fans can expect to hear Bishop on the mixtape "Nigga Noize", hosted by DJ Skee. That mix-tape, in addition to a mix-tape called "The Pope-Mobile" will probably hit the streets by Spring of next year. Read more for more news about Bishop Lamont and Aftermath Music...

With some possable changes coming up for The Math as well as the recent signing of Tiffany, Dr. Dre and Bishop Lamont will have thier hands full preparing for a new era of Aftermath and counting down to Bishop and Dre's respective releases!

Bishop will soon be hitting the studio with Chris Martin from Coldplay and some other respected Urban artists. No guest artists have officially been confirmed, but planned sessions with Eminem and 50 Cent are in order. Production on the anticipated LP is expected to come from Dr. Dre, Battlecat, DJ Premier, The RZA, Pete Rock and others. Be sure to keep checking with www.Aftermathmusic.com for more info

Dubcnn were the first online media outlet to interview Bishop Lamont back in October 2004, since then he has made incredible moves and is now signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment, is working with the Doctor on "Detox" as well as his debut album; "The Reformation."

We managed to grab some time with Bishop as a holiday treat for our readers to discuss his debut, find out what we could about the "Area 51" that surrounds Detox, discussed what it was in him that Dre saw to sign him, his upcoming mixtapes "N***R Noize", "Pope Mobile" and ""Spend Lott'n and Kim Jung Scrill Still Underground" with Indef.

We also touch on the situation with The Game, working with other Aftermath artists, Hittman, the New West, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, and Bishop spit some words for the West Coast. We also get his take on the industry, who he's feeling, records he's bought and so much more in this exclusive one hour interview with dubcnn.com.

Damizza & Bishop Lamont Unveil: 'Let Me Hear It Music'

Two of the busiest men in music have recently taken time out of their hectic schedules to combine and form an organistation to help aspiring artists get heard, get constructive cristicism and ultimately - get deals!

Damizza, who is hard at work on the upcoming collaboration album "Back B4 Ur Lonely" with Butch Cassidy, and Bishop Lamont, Aftermath Records' signee and Dr. Dre protégé who is currently finalising two mixtapes and his debut album "The Reformation" - are asking you to "Let Me Hear It"

That's right, Damizza and Bishop Lamont want to hear your music and be able to give you the time and energy you deserve on getting your music heard, critiqued and all importantly get the feedback direct from them.

The concept behind this move, which can be seen at Let Me Hear It Music, is the result of the pair being inundated with demos and requests that they can't always deal with; this new venture will ensure they can get through material that people really want them to hear and then take the time to listen and evaluate the music properly.

The pair will endevour to listen to all the material submitted, when they cannot then the studio teams, the Mad Scientists, will evaluate the music and then let the pair know what's hot and what's not! Bishop Lamont and Damizza have recorded a video on the new Let Me Hear It Music website to explain it all in detail however we think this quote sums it up; "Don't make it if you can't take it! What i mean by that is make sure you can take criticism, cause i'm gonna be cold than a muthaf-cka like Dre is on me."

Aspiring artists, do not miss out on this opportunity to sumbit your material, this is your chance to be heard and prove your worth - the first 150-200 material submissions will get video responses of Bishop Lamont and/or Damizza critiquing your record, live and direct!

In related news it appears that "Who I Gotta Kill To Get A Record Deal" Volumes II and III are in the works and are set to be industry samplers - that means that at Bishop's discretion yout hot material could make its way onto the same mixtape series that got into Dr. Dre's hand to sign Bishop Lamont to Aftermath - don't miss your chance head over to www.Let Me Hear It Music.com right now and submit your material for only $19.99
