The beef between Dogg Pound Gangstas, Daz Dillinger and Nate Dogg, has officially been squashed, DPGRecordz.com reports. The origins of the beef goes back to the late 90's when Daz decided to stay on Death Row Records while the other artists such as Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg left the record label.

In what seems to be an attempt to not bring Death Row Records to people's attention, Daz has also decided to not diss his former record label on his future releases after being advised so by friends of his.

Nate Dogg will also make a guest appearance on Daz's upcoming fifth solo album, So So Gangsta, due out later this year. The song he's featured on is titled "The Road We Travel." The album also features guest appearances from Big Pimpin', Jadakiss, Nelly, Ricky Harris and of course the whole So So Def family.

Murder Inc., or The Inc. as they call themselves these days, is scheduled to release Ja Rule's upcoming sixth album this summer, MTV News reports. The album will be a double disc, which is tentatively titled R.U.L.E.

The first single of R.U.L.E. is scheduled to hit the radio this month. Mary J. Blige is one among many artists to make a guest appearance on the album.

Also be on the look out for Ja Rule to be starring in the three upcoming films Assault On Precinct 13th, Back In The Day and Shall We Dance?

Assault On Precinct 13th is a remake of John Carpenter's film with the same title. The film stars Laurence Fishburne as an inprisoned mobster, who's trying to break out of prison on New Year's Eve.

In Back In The Day, Ja Rule plays a character who goes by the name of Reggie Cooper. His mother is played by Pam Grier, his girlfriend is played by Tatyana Ali and his best friend is played by Ving Rhames. Cooper's life is a constant struggle between living a righteous life or a life of crime, influenced by his best friend.

The third film, Shall We Dance? is a romantic comedy, which is also starring Jennifer Lopez and Richard Gere. Ja Rule plays the role of a convict, who gets caught up in the middle of a conflict between criminals and the police. The film is slated to be released in August 2004.

Killa Kam


Camron has stated that "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" will be the second official single from Purple Haze, Cam's forthcoming album. The first will be a collaboration with Jaheim called "Lord Knows." The two will finish up a two-day video shoot on Tuesday (April 6).

"Now, Lord, you know just how hard I tried to live my life and get it right," Jaheim sings on the hook, while Cam raps about escaping life's pitfalls and wishing the Dip Set's resident funnyman Freakey Zeakey well until he gets home from jail in 2007.

As popular as Cam has become from his raps, he's almost as well-known for being a hip-hop fashion plate. He's looking to set his next milestone, and get paid for it at the same time: Believe it or not, Killa is trying to patent his own color.

"I'm working with some scientists," he said. "I don't know how I'm gonna go about doing it. It's unfortunate that I didn't take advantage of the whole pink situation, being that I'm the one that really put pink in the market. Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, they see me and be like, 'Dude, you're responsible for putting this in the market.' I'm a trendsetter. It's not just black people. You go up in Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, it's pink heaven. I'm responsible."

Although Cam has been synonymous with pink for the past couple of years, his affinity is slowly wearing off. He just sold his pink Range Rover on eBay for $160,000 , but he plans on painting both his Bentley and his Rolls-Royce Phantom that color.

Still, "For me, it's dying out," he said. "I go places and they be like, 'Why don't you have pink on?' [It's like] I can't even perform without having pink on. People gotta see it."

A new color that will be prevalent in Cam's mindset in the immediate future is, obviously enough, purple. Purple Haze is due June 8, and Cam and fellow Dip Set member Jim Jones just put out their own beverage, a grape-flavored, purple-tinted liqueur called Sizzurp.

Later this spring, Cam, Jimmy and the rest of the Dips will be competing in a cross-country auto race that runs from June 12 to June 17. Jimmy likens it to a real-life hip-hop-meets-"Cannonball Run." Three hundred cars will be entered in the event, and there will be five stop-offs along the way, where the Dips and possibly a few of their rap-world homies plan to perform.

Rapper Beanie Sigel has agreed to plead guilty to possession of drugs and being a felon in possession of a gun.

Sigel's attorney, Fortunato N. Perri Jr. said that by pleading, Sigel is hoping for a shorter sentence, which will be amount to almost three years.

Sigel was arrested in the early morning hours of April 20, 2003, following a high speed auto chase and a short foot pursuit.

Two SWAT officers allege they saw Sigel dump a loaded Mauser .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol.

After Sigel was apprehended, a search of his Escalade turned up a variety of drugs including seven Alprazolam (Xanax) tabs, Oxycodone, 10 codeine tabs, two 16-ounce bottles of codeine and a small amount of marijuana.

Sigel completed a drug counseling program in Minnesota earlier this year.

U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick granted Sigel permission to travel to New York where he is completing "State Property 2" as well as his latest CD.

Sigel goes on trial next week in state court on aggravated assault and murder charges. Those incidents stem from a July 2 shooting in Philadelphia. The rapper is accused of shooting a man in the stomach and foot.

He is also facing trial for fracturing a man's eye socket in 2001. Police allege that while on Sigel Street in Philadelphia, the rapper used his Bentley to block a motorist and pulled him from his truck.

Sigel and several other men allegedly punched and kicked the motorist fracturing a rib, his eye socket and giving him a concussion.

Corey "C-Murder" Miller, younger brother of mogul Master P, has been granted a new trial after being convicted last year of shooting a teenager to death in a Jefferson Parish night club.

New Orleans State District Judge Martha Sassone ruled today (April 6) that Miller deserves a new trial because prosecutors withheld information about key witnesses that were used to implicate Miller.

Miller's attorney's argued that prosecutors failed to disclose that key witnesses had criminal records and were given special consideration for their testimony.

"He got dealt a bad hand," Master P told AllHipHop.com. "[The] reality is gonna come out because there is a man up above. That situation with C-Murder could happen to anyone one of us. You are an innocent man and you are going through what C is going through - he's a soldier. He's definitely a strong person because the average person would have broke down."

Miller was convicted in September of the shooting death of 16-year-old Steve Thomas in the Platinum night club. Miller pled not guilty to the shooting.

In December at a hearing for the retrial, a woman that was a key prosecution witness during the murder trial testified that she did not see Miller shoot the boy, but said she witnessed another man with a gun moments before the shooting.

Eloise Matthews testified under oath that she stood on a chair and witnessed Miller beating Thomas, but fell and did not witness the shooting.

Matthews claimed that just before the shooting, she witnessed another man known as "Calliope Slim" with a gun.

Matthews testified she told Jefferson Parish detectives before the trial about "Calliope Slim," who takes his moniker from the same projects that reared Miller, his older brother Master P. and their youngest brother Silkk The Shocker.

When asked why she didn't reveal this information during the trial, Matthews said that no one asked her.

Matthews said that Detective Donald Clogher cleared her parking tickets and an arrest warrant out for her friend Tenika Rankins on felony theft charges was lifted.

Rankins' criminal record and the clearing of tickets were withheld from the defense, which defense attorney's said cast doubt on their credibility and the prosecutions case.

Miller is facing a mandatory sentence of life without parole in prison.

The raper will have a hearing on Monday that will determine whether or not he will be freed on bond.

- Daz Dillinger will be featured on the remix of Cee-Lo's second single.

- Daz will be on tour with Snoop Dogg and Korn in the next couple weeks. Daz is scheduled to perform at least one solo track each show.

- Daz's next single off the "So So Gangsta" album is titled "PARTY PEOPLE". The track features JD and Mario Winans. Jamie Foxx was originally supposed to appear on the track, but was removed due to legal issues.

- Daz will be appearing on Bone Crushers second single titled "999".

- Daz will also be making an appearance on the 213 album. The song is currently titled "Whistle While Ya Hustle".

- Daz recently recorded two tracks with Young Bucc of the G-Unit. Daz will be making an appearance on Young Bucc's solo album.

- Daz has decided to stay away from the Death Row disses in the future. There will be no mention of Death Row by Daz on his "So So Gangsta" album.

RUMORS

Dr.Dre recently announced he will not be releasing his highly anticipated Detox album. Supposedly, he got frustrated because he wasn't getting any cooperation from Snoop (The album's must-have artist). Yes, sounds a little farfetched. But its just a rumor and something interesting to discuss. This news is connected to the fact -- Dr. Dre hasn't been producing much for Snoop lately. Whats the beef between these two?

In regards to the 213 album...many are disappointed because this is turning into "Snoop's project" rather than a "Warren, Snoop, and Nate Project". Snoop has had sole control of the project..Nate and Warren are merely featured guests (or the other two members of the group??).

Finally, last we heard Puffy is still Exec Producing the next Snoop Dogg album. Puffy will also be doing a few songs on the Latoya Williams project.

Kool Keith And Jacky Jasper Prep New Album, Canadian Dates


Kool Keith, the master of multiple personalities, is teaming with H Bomb also known as Jacky Jasper, to release a new album titled 7th Veil.

The album, which is nearing completion, features Rock & Roll pioneer Ike Turner, who makes his first appearance on any rap record, Flava Flav, Mr. Pimpin' White Folks and Roscoe.

Production chores on the album were given to Lynch Mob's Chilly Chill as well as efforts by Cartel Productions.

The 7th Veil album will come with a bonus DVD that chronicles the making of the album as well as performances by exotic dancers and female porno stars.

The CD/DVD will priced lower than usual and is slated for a summer release.

Keith and Jacky Jasper will do seven dates in Canada starting tonight (April 7) on the Kool Keith vs. Canada tour. Dates are below:

After spending the past several years immersed in film roles and guest spots on other artist's material, Method Man returns to his own music next month with "Tical 0: The Prequel." Due May 18 via Def Jam, the album is Meth's first solo set since 1998's "Tical 2000: Judgement Day," which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 2 on The Billboard 200.

The new album is overflowing with guest stars, including longtime colleague Redman, who appears with Snoop Dogg on "We Some Dogs." Meth's Wu-Tang Clan cohorts Ol' Dirty Bastard and Ghostface Killah lend a hand on "Ain't a Damn Thing Changed" and "The Afterparty," respectively. RZA produced the track "The Turn" featuring Raekwon.

The 18-track "Prequel" is rounded out by the P. Diddy-produced "Say What" featuring Missy Elliott, first single "What's Happenin" featuring Busta Rhymes, "Rodeo" featuring Ludacris, and "Baby Come On" featuring Kardinal Offishal.

Method Man was most recently on the charts with a guest appearance on the Mary J. Blige single "Love at First Sight," which reached No. 10 last July on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks tally.

As rotation for Twista's latest single "Overnight Celebrity" heats up, the rapper is already preparing the next single from his certified platinum album, Kamikaze.

"We got that 'So Sexy' featuring my man R. Kelly coming soon after 'Overnight Celebrity'," Twista told AllHipHop.com. "We just going to keep it cracking for the rest of the year."
