NEW BROTHA LYNCH HUNG & DOOMSDAY PRODUCTIONS CD-------------------
It's official! Brotha Lynch Hung & Doomsday Productions will be releasing a
new CD called "SiccMixx - Our Most Gangsta Hits". This is the project that
Young Droop recently laid vocals for here at Cin Sity. It's a Greatest Hits
disc...but it will feature some new lyrics from Young Droop and a few more
guest artists. SiccMixx hits the streets in early June 2004. More guest
artists are scheduled so stay tuned!!!

Pimp C May Be Set Free:

Pimp C of UGK is currently serving an 8 year sentence for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, however, new evidence could free the rapper within a few weeks. All the witnesses to the incident have given affidavits under oath that Pimp C didn't pull a gun on the complainant. A Writ of Habeas Corpus will filed any day now at the Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin, TX. to have Pimp C released and his sentence set aside. Pimp C's lawyer failed to interview any witnesses despite statements proclaiming the rapper's innocence in the police report. Sources close to Pimp C indicate that he has written over 100 songs and is preparing to make-up for lost time by recording a new album immediately upon his release perhaps on S. Carter's new imprint. Word is Jay-z personally paid for some of Pimp C's legal bills which is something Jive or no one else did for the incarcerated rapper. We will have more information later this month. FREE PIMP C!!!

As we previously reported, The Relativez are back with their new album "Money Respect Money", the follow up to their 2001 album "The Takeover". We got the first single from the album exclusively on this site, its called "Summertime" and features Butch Cassidy, produced by Big Rush. A laid back record with Butch doing a smooth hook, perfect for the California season! The album cover is posted on the left, its droppin soon on Los Angeles based Ball'R Records.

Keeping true with the last record, they enlisted long-time collaborator Rashad "Big Rush" Coes to handle the albums production with Scott Storch, and Aftermath's Dj Khalil & Focus contributing tracks.

Other features to look out for on this album are Dave Hollister, Too Short, Krayzie Bone, Gangsta (from Tha Comrades), Black Rose & Fran'cci.

Paris Article in April Issue of The Source

In the April 2004 issue of The Source Magazine, Rap Activist Paris is mentioned in an article. It seems as though in January he was censored on-air by San Francisco radio station KMEL over comments made to the radio DJ's and the station owner Clear Channel.

Here is an excerpt of the article from The Source Magazine:

"These racist cowards fill our airwaves with negative material that influences our communities, and [the DJ's] feel they don't have to be accountable for what they do. We are saying that they do. The community is saying it loud and clear: Provide balance!

The stations say they respond to the tastes of the streets, but they dictate the tastes of the streets, and there is a direct cause-and-effect relationship between what they play and how the community responds. How many times have you memorized the words to a weak-ass song that you don't even like because they play it 10 times an hour? And how many times have you heard them break new records by artists that the street has never even heard of? Stations aren't responding to the streets, they are receiving payola from the labels they have sweetheart deals with"...

Daz Dillinger Has A Few Words For Suge Knight

Bild
Just one day after being released from prison, Suge Knight's release has already sparked some controversy, in the form of a message delivered to Knight from former Death Row Records artist, Daz Dillinger.

Over a well produced track, Daz stated that any rapper that recorded or worked with Suge Knight would feel his wrath....

"You f*ggot ass n*gga finally you get outta jail," Daz said on an audio statement posted on his website, DPGRecordz.com. "They stuffed your b*tch ass up already up in jail n*gga. You know when you get out here n*gga in these streets some vicious stuff gonna happen. We gonna kill your big fat ass."

He also had an ominous message for new Aftermath Entertainment artist Game, who is from Knight's hometown of Compton, California.

"What I think he gonna do is get at the n*gga Game, cause he's from Compton," Daz said. "Game Get your pistol. F*ggot ass n*gga, welcome home."

Daz recently revealed that the differences between him and Nate Dogg have been pushed aside and the two recorded "The Road We Travel," which will be featured on Daz' upcoming So So Def release, So So Gangsta.

In addition to touring with Snoop, he will drop a CD for producers titled Samplin 2 Da Beat Of Da Drum, a new DPG mixtape and a gospel album featuring his mother.

Monie Love Preparing New Material

Bild

Monie Love, who shot to fame with her hits "Monie in the Middle," "It's A Shame" and her classic verses on De La Soul's "Buddy" and Queen Latfiah's "Ladies First," is working on new material due to her passion for the art of Hip-Hop.

"I'm working on putting a mix CD out of myself basically because I still love the art," Monie Love told AllHipHop.com. "I can still do this and I just want to do it for self purposes, put it out there."

Monie currently holds down Power 105.1's morning show with Ed Lover in New York.

She said that the mix CD could lead to a full fledged studio album.

"You never know what might develop. I am still involved in music and as far as the artist side of things, it is because it's something I love, it's something I know how to do, and something I still can do."

Monie Love was born in London, England and has resided in New York since 1989.

Bizzy Bone Denies Signing With B2K's Label

Bild

Last month, members of B2K boasted that they had signed Bizzy Bone to their new label, Super Fam Records, but the Bone Thug rapper is denying the reports.

“We bringing Bizzy Bone back,” B2K’s J-Boog said last month.

While Bizzy admits there were talks, the signing never officially happened.

Bizzy Bone told AllHipHop.com, “It is not true, at all. I didn’t know that they had a label, actually. The last that I heard about B2K was that the lead singer left. I had talked to a member on the phone a few times. He wanted to do a deal with me. I said, ‘You know what? I’ve been in this game for twelve years professionally. Send me paperwork because [it] rules this game.’ I never got a call back from this kid.”

When the news was posted on AllHiphop, he said he began to get feedback from all over the country and in various media outlets.

“When in hit [AllHipHop.com], oh my goodness, it hit “The Tom Joyner Show,” it came from so many different directions. I’m talking about California, New York, everywhere I’m getting calls. And now, I gotta get you [AllHipHop]. I’m coming to get you now. You shouldn’t of said that,” he continued laughing.”

Bizzy Bone is adding the finishes touches to his third solo album, Alpha and Omega, which will be released through 7th Sign/Universal Records.

The lead single, “I Wanna Die For You” hits radio this month.
