little story about it
[spoiler]UGK, Roland & Goldfingers were brought in to do the Pimp Daddy tribute song
at my studio for Cash Money Records
that brought me 2 projects, the 1st UGK record for Zomba/Juve Records with an A and R guy named Jeff(Jess) Finster and the project with Roland
roland called me up one day and said he wanted to work with me and he had someone with money that wanted to make some hits
The guy was named Rick Pena and he had an R and B group called Vestyle
at the time i had my studio in my house...so we started doing the music, and it started coming out great
roland got paid 2000 per track to write 10 tracks and rick paid him in advance
we did 5 songs and then I flew to Los Angeles to Have it mastered at Bernnie Grundamans on sunset Blve By Big Bass Brian...he mastered Tevin Cambell and B ell, Biv, Devoe
we also arranged wroked with Tisha Cambell from the Martin Show and her mom Mona Cambell
so the group was about to get singed with Atlantic Records
we came back to New Orleans to Finish the record, but roland said he couldnt finish yet and he would be back to finish i a few weeks
cause he was doing something with the Geto Boys
rick was pissed because he paid him in full and wanted it done
so when we all got together again to make the rest of the music, we were all in the studio and then 2 hitmen, one with an UZI and anothe with a pistol, came into my studio and told everyone to "Get on the Mutha Fuckin Flo(Floor)"
they gave me duct tape and told me to tie everybody up
my wife was in there, roland, goldfingers, the group
then my friend came to visit and the tied him up...then his roommate..tied up, then my assistant engineer...
this was only a 7x16 controllroom
then the didnt like the smirk on Tim Verrte, one of the producers and pistol wipped him and squeeted blood on my wife, who by the way had Duct tape on her mouth
so im on the floor waiting for a bullet in the head...looking at my friend as he cursed me and prayed
then, rick walkes in with his Brother Wardo...Wardo also had a gun
rick was so pissed, he went to roland and started screaming that he was disrespected and they owed him the songs and then rick went to the ASR 10 kbd and flipped it up un the air to the ground
it was bad
no shit...i friggin lived it
