Dedrick “Mack 10” Rolison’s attorney has issued a statement denying charges surrounding his divorce from Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins.

Watkins is seeking to divorce the rapper, claiming that he was abusive, unfaithful and threatened her life.

She received a restraining order against Rolison, who is not allowed within 100 yards of her....


"To be clear about what has happened in the case so far, each time Mr. Rolison has requested relief, he has prevailed," Randall M. Kessler of Kessler & Schwarz, P.C. said in a statement. "Mr. Rolison refuses to bad mouth his wife, but he wants it to be clear that the allegations about him were untrue and that the above facts should make that clear."

T-Boz is seeking full custody of their 3-year-old daughter, Chase Anela and filed papers saying Rolison could not see his daughter.

Scarface Signed to Cash Money Records?


Cash Money recording artist, Lil Wayne, recently spoke with So Hood Magazine Online completing a two part interview this past week, and commented on Scarface's apparent signing with Cash Money Records, as well as the on-going situation with the Outlawz.

Yeah, [Laughs] I know what you sayin’, playa! You know what The Outlawz have recently stated that they close to signing a deal with Cash Money Records?

Lil Wayne:
You know we don’t really want to talk about all that, but Cash Money just signed Scarface. And we got signed this guy Sixshot. And we just signed Keith Sweat and Gernald Levert. It’s crazy!

SoHood.com:
Get the fuck out of here!

Lil Wayne:
Yeah, [Laughs] but that’s on the Cash Money Classic label though, the Keith Sweat and Gernald Levert.

SoHood.com:
But The Outlawz are signed, right?

Lil Wayne:
Yeah, they probably be about to sign because we been dealing with The Outlawz; we been trying to get them out their situation for a long time. They probably out of their situation, so they’ll be coming to us.

Nothing has been officially announced or confirmed to us, as this is the first we have heard of Scarface signing with Cash Money.

The question now is, can Lil Wayne be trusted? He may be telling the truth, or he may be telling us only half of the story.

Talib Kweli has continuously fought to have his music released, but amid the label turmoil, the rapper has a single for his Beautiful Mind CD.

"I wanted to put out this record 'I Try,' with Mary J. Blige and the label wasn't really feeling that," he told BET.com. "I've done some work with Just Blaze and The Neptunes that the label said they were feeling and now recently someone from the label came back and said they were feeling 'I Try,' so they confusing me right now." Earlier this year, Talib made headlines in the hip-hop community when he publicly ranted against an individual that released his unmastered, unfinished album to the internet. The former Rawkus Records rapper, now on Geffen, said that he's been sincere and truthful through his music. "I think it would blur my ability to tell the story from a certain perspective because as you grow, your perspective is going to change," he said. "That's what's beautiful about art, an artist is supposed to be honest with themselves regardless of their situation. So if an artist's situation changes, they just have to find a way to tap into being honest about how their situation changed and their fan base and people who like them will feel them just as much." He said that honesty portrayed in his music extends all the way to his choice of an emcee name. "I didn't take an emcee name -- that's why I wanted to use my own name," he said. "I didn't care about looking a certain way, other than the way I already looked. Now I find that I have more like a uniform. It's a double edge sword though, cause it does make it feel more like a job, but it also makes it more fun. I like buying clothes and stuff, that's the arrogant part of being an emcee that I had to develop because when I first started it wasn't no arrogance, it was all humbleness." Ultimately, he said that he hope that his music is judged on it's own merits. "I would appreciate hip-hop to be more like that where we really talk about what's going on with the music," Talib finished.

'Live' Tupac Album Release Date Pushed Up


Due to rampant bootlegging, Death Row Records has moved the release date of a new album of previously unreleased live material from Tupac Shakur.

Live was originally recorded in 1996 and includes live versions of well known Tupac songs such as “So Many Tears,” “Hit ‘Em Up,” “2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted” and “California Love.”

The original release date was August 10th but the album will now be released on Friday August 6th in an effort to cut into bootlegger’s sales.

Live is the first time that Tupac’s songs have been officially gathered on a single live album and released.

Def Jux wird seinem Ruf für äußerst politischen Rap einmal mehr gerecht, am 7.September nämlich wird das Label mit "Who's America" in Zusammenarbeit mit Urb Magazine und System Recordings eine EP veröffentlichen, welche "dem amerikanischen Bürger erleichtern soll", wer bei den kommenden Präsidentschaftswahlen der richtige ist.

Musikalisch wird es einen Mix aus HipHop und Electro geben, erstere Fraktion wird vornehmlich durch RJD2, Mr.Lif, Hangar 18, Central Services (El-P & Camu Tao) und The Perceptionists (Akrobatik, Mr.Lif & DJ Fakts One) vertreten.

Am selben Tag erscheint übrigens auch "Telecatessen" von Rob Sonic!

gefunden, denn er wird mit Bart Simpson aus der Cartoonserie
"Die Simpsons" einen Song aufnehmen. Wie die amerikanische
Synchronsprecherin von Bart, die Schauspielerin
Nancy Cartright, berichtete, habe man 50 für eine
Episode eingeladen, die im Herbst in den USA ausgestrahlt
werden würde.

Bereits 1991 hatte Bart Simpson
anlässlich eines Cypress Hill-Auftrittes in der
Serie einen Rapsong aufgenommen. In Deutschland
hat unter anderem Kool Savas das berühmte "Nein"
von Homer Simpson für ein Lied verwendet.

Krumb’s album features guest appearances from such heavyweights as Guru, Famlay, Styles P., Ghostface and others. Like Jadakiss’ “Why” Krumbsnatcha makes a strong political statement on “Bang Bang.” Ni**a f*ck Iraq/I got terrorists in my hood/ni**as catching bodies ever since their early childhood” Krumb raps. Let The Truth Be Told is the debut release from Golden Eyes Entertainment and hits stores in September.

Nach dem Tode ihres DJ's Jam Master Jay hörte man eher wenig von den verbliebenen Run DMC-Mitgliedern Reverend Run und DMC. Letzterer kündigt nun allerdings die Rückkehr auf die Bildfläche an. DMC möchte ein neues Album aufnehmen, dass eine Mischung aus Rap und Rock werden wird:

J.Wells wechselt zu Waxploitation!

Vielen wird der Name J Wells wohl kaum was sagen, Tatsache ist, dass der 21-jährige Produzent bereits für Goodie Mob, Kurupt, J Ro, Tash, Planet Asia und Prodigal Sunn produziert hat, momentan bastelt er an neuen Tracks für u.a. Rakim, Petey Pablo, Ali und Shyheim.

Vor wenigen Minuten kam nun die offizielle Pressemitteilung von Waxploitation raus, dass J Wells neues Labelmitglied ist!
Momentan werkelt Jon an seiner ersten Producer LP "Digital Master". Ein Releasetermin steht noch nicht fest, dafür sind bereits schon Tracks mit Inspectah Deck, Method Man, Jayo Felony, Ray-J und Goodie Mob aufgenommen worden...

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony member Krayzie Bone has announced the title for his third solo album is Gemini: Good Vs. Evil.

According to the rapper, the album will attempt to provide listeners with good music and a thought provoking message.

"We all want to do good," Krayzie explained. "But sometimes we don't do it. We do the opposite. We get caught up in the world and we get drawn more to our evil side and we do the wrong thing. Basically, that's what inspired the whole concept for the album."

The first single from the album is the Lil Jon produced track “Getchu Twisted.” The remix features the entire Bone Thugs-N-Harmony family.

Production chores on the album are handled by Fred Wreck, Def Jef and The Platinum Brothers and longtime Bone sonic craftsman, DJ U-Neek.

Krazyie has already released two solo albums, Thug Mentality 1999 and Thug on Da Line. As a member of Bone, he has sold tens of millions of records and won a Grammy Award with the group as well.

Sehr erfeuliche Neuigkeiten für alle D.I.T.C. Fans:
A.G. (Andre the Giant) arbeitet momentan an einem neuen, bislang noch unbetitelten Album.

Als Veröffentlichungstermin ist Anfang 2005, höchstwahrscheinlich Febraur '05, angepeilt.

Sehr interessant ist die Liste der Produzenten, die bislang ihre Beats beigesteuert haben:
J Dilla, Madlib und Jake One lassen durchaus großes erwarten.
Desweiteren werden u.a. noch Showbiz, Party Arty und Lord Finesse vertreten sein.

Die erste Maxi soll angeblich in wenigen Wochen über Look Records kommen (dem Label von Prozack), G.D. soll gefeatured sein.


Hoffnungen gibt es auch für alle Big L Fans: So soll mit "Real Legends don't die" in Kürze ein neues Album rauskommen. Obendrein wird wohl eine DVD mit Live Auftritten enthalten sein...
