NEW YORK (Billboard) - Oscar-winning rapper Eminem (news - web sites) will release his fourth album, to be called "Encore," on Nov. 16, his Interscope Records label said Monday.

The set will be the follow-up to 2002's "The Eminem Show," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 9.2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Interscope said its global sales stand at more than 19 million copies.

Because of Internet piracy, that album officially went on sale in the United States on a Sunday, nine days ahead of its originally scheduled street date.

The 2002 soundtrack to his hit film "8 Mile" also reached No. 1 on The Billboard 200. It spawned the hit "Lose Yourself," which spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and yielded an Oscar for Eminem and his two co-writers. Interscope said its global sales stand at almost nine million copies.

Although he released a new album with his group D-12 this spring, Eminem has kept a low profile over the past year. He recently announced plans to launch a hip-hop music channel with Sirius Satellite Radio, on which he will host shows with acts from his Shady Records imprint. The channel is expected to go live in the fall.

50 CENT was dramatically booed off stage at the CARLING WEEKEND:

The rapper was pelted with a shower of plastic bottles from the angry crowd, and even had a camping chair thrown at him, forcing the star to walk off after just twenty five minutes of his Main Stage set.

50 and his G-Unit crew were hit by a rain of bottles as they came onstage, and they even started to pick up the missiles and hurl them back towards the front rows.

Chants of “50 Cent is a wanker” were heard and the group were jeered and heckled throughout the short appearance.

Attempting to placate the thousands of people, the rapper said: “We’re just all here to have fun”, and even taunted them by challenging them to all put their middle fingers in the air.

One festival goer told NME.COM: “What was he even doing up there? It was the worst thing I’ve ever seen.”

After playing hits including ’In Da Club’, ’21 Questions’ and ’P.I.M.P’, 50 thanked the crowd and promptly walked off.

The star started his set at 8.10pm, twenty minutes earlier than scheduled, and left at 8.35pm. According to the stage times, he was due to play between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.

Apart from The Streets, 50 was the only rap act on today’s Main Stage bill on a day dominated by hard rock bands, including Placebo, Lostprophets and Dropkick Murphys.

Koch Records has renewed its partnership with Master P and his The New No Limit label, Billboard.biz reports. Koch will continue to provide promotion, marketing and distribution services for all New No Limit releases.

After the initial deal was forged last year, The New No Limit/Koch in March released Master P's double album "Good Side/Bad Side," which debuted at No. 11 on The Billboard 200.

The label is now readying the Sept. 7 release of "Based on a True Story," the fifth album from Master P's brother Silkk The Shocker. Due Sept. 21 is "RomeoLand," the new album from Lil' Romeo, Master P's son. In addition, The New No Limit/Koch is eyeing a Nov. 23 release for "The Truth," a new album by the reunited TRU (comprising Master P, Silkk The Shocker and their brother C-Murder). The set is the follow-up to their platinum-certified "Da Crime Family."

In January 2005, Master P will release his 11th album, "The Ghetto Bill Gates," to be followed by new music from Lil' Romeo's hit Nickelodeon television series, "Romeo." Also look for new studio albums from the 504 Boyz and the debut from New No Limit teen rap act Rich Boyz (featuring Lil' Romeo).

Master P launched No Limit Records as a self-distributed label in 1994. He later inked a distribution deal with Universal Records before signing with Koch in 2003.

Ready or not, here she comes. Lauryn Hill, hip-hop's favorite recluse and one of the genre's most acclaimed MCs, has been taking refuge in Miami, recording music for a new LP. Although details are scarce, L. Boogie was in New York several days ago filming some sort of video.

While Hill's fans haven't heard much from the Grammy winner over the past few years, Lauryn has been reaching out to one particular person: up-and-coming Miami singer Camille. "Lauryn's been helping me out in the studio, giving me pointers," says the 16-year-old. "She's kinda mentoring me.

She basically told me to have songs with meaning that I can communicate to other people, and definitely sing things you feel. People can't connect to [your music] unless you connect to it. She's been a driving force in my career." Camille's first single, "It's Gotta Be You," should be out later this year.

Onyx group member Fredro Starr is in the process of producing a movie based on the life story of his mentor Jam Master Jay, the late DJ for Run-DMC.

The script is being written with a cousin of Jay’s and according to Starr, Derek Luke, Mekhi Phifer, Will Smith and Queen Latifah have expressed interest in the movie, which he hopes to have out as soon as next year.

“JMJ put me in the game,” Fredro Starr told AllHipHop.com. “The first time I went to Los Angeles, I was with JMJ. I was gonna do a TV show with Russell Simmons and Quincy Jones called ‘B-Boys’ when I first got signed to JMJ records with Onyx. He’s been my mentor from day one.”

With ten years in Hollywood under his belt, the rapper/actor said he felt the time was right to move behind the camera.

“I think this is a good way for me to produce my first movie and a good way for me to give something back to Hip-Hop, Jay and his family,” Fredro said.

No one has been arrested or charged for the murder of the legendary DJ, who was gunned down on October 30 of 2002 in Queens, New York, where both Starr and Sticky Fingaz hail.

Fingaz will also step behind the camera for what is tentatively titled “Sticky Fingaz Untitled Project.”

“It’s basically a movie that he (Sticky) wrote and directed and it stars me, Mekhi Phifer, Omar Epps, Faizon Love aka Big Worm, Melinda Williams, and Mike Williams from the Wire.

Fredro said that with the movie, he aimed to unite black Hollywood.

“Everybody came to do this movie with us and we didn’t have to pay anybody,” Fredro continued. “Mekhi did it for the love. Omar did it for the love. We just wanted to show the studios that we can make a film without going thru the politics being in Black Hollywood, it’s gonna be the hottest movie out.”

Fredro said the flick is based on two friends from the neighborhood trying to survive and find away out of their impoverished living conditions.

“Everybody in the movie is rapping,” Fredro explained. “We came out of our pocket to shoot the first few scenes then Lions Gate Films picked it up so it’s going to come out early next year. To me it’s the rap version of “City of God,” There’s a lot of shooting and a lot of nudity. It’s real raw.”
