According to Interscope sources the new Tupac album has a release date of Dec.7th.

A single is to be released next week from the album.

There are no details of the title of the track or exactly which day it will be released.

There has been much speculation surrounding this release and it is highly anticipated by Tupac fans.

Not much is known about the album to be released except that Eminem is producing some tracks and in a recent interview with Robert from RapNewsDirect.com, Shock G said that Deon Evans (formally Big-D the Impossible from Pacs' Underground Railroad) is producing some tracks.

So we will have to wait and see what Dec.7th brings, but we should get a taste of the album in the way of a single next week according to Interscope.[/img]

also ich verstehe es so, dass DEL ein neues album bringt und OPIO ihn bei den promo-shows unterstützt. (wäre doch unlogisch, wenn OPIO sich selber hilft, sein album zu promoten)
:thankyou:

Defari: Neues Album & Likwit Junkies News!

Canibus is back!

After releasing Rip the Jacker in 2003, the final installment of his self-described independent trilogy, Canibus has returned to make another run for the roses at the major label level.

The buzz on the street is that, in addition to tearing up the mixtape circuit with hot new tracks, Bis is working with Nottz, Shaq, K-Slay and a host of other players to reclaim his position amongst the best in the game and rightfully so. Sources say that Mic Club Music has partnered up with a major label and will drop two new Canibus albums in 2005.

In 2003, Babygrande had the pleasure of uniting two of the most progressive artists in the game (Stoupe & Canibus) for a one-off concept album (Rip the Jacker) that, in our opinion, resulted in a timeless classic for the ages. As of today, Rip the jacker is Canibus' best-selling album since he left the major label arena.

Sticky Fingaz, formerly of the rap group Onyx, will star in the upcoming movie “Flight of the Phoenix”.

The movie, which had an $80 million dollar budget, was directed by John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines) and also stars Tyrese, Dennis Quaid, Hugh Ory and Giovanni Ribisi (Saving Private Ryan).

The action flick takes place in Africa after a plane crash leaves Sticky and crew stranded on a desolate island with only 2 weeks worth of water and peaches to survive.

“It was cool working with John Moore and Dennis Quaid, learning from them really stepped up my game,” Sticky Fingaz told AllHipHop.com. “It was funny being in Africa and me and Tyrese are the only two brothers in the movie though, but it was all good.”

The character played by Ribisi insists he has experience building planes, so after using all their food and energy working on the plane they find out he’s only built model planes.

"Flight of the Phoenix" is an updated version of the original 1965 flick, which starred James Stewart and Richard Attenborough.

The movie is due out Dec 22nd.

Eighteen months ago, DJ Rude One of the production duo known as the Single Minded Pros promised that he and co-beat cultivator Doc West would release an album that featured rap / hip-hop legend Kool G Rap.

It was quite a pledge from a tandem who had never released anything more than a pair of 12-inch singles. Sure, they were critically acclaimed singles, but they were talking about Kool G Rap of Marley Marl's Juice Crew and the classic track "The Road to the Riches," the rap / hip-hop legend who had penned classics ranging from "Erase Racism" to "Ill Street Blues," and who had been recognized by rap artists ranging from Eminem to the RZA to the Roots.

"To be honest, I had never heard of Single Minded," G Rap says. "But [Rude One] was able to contact me and they came out to the crib and we knocked [the single] out. They turned out to be real cool cats."

In the end, not only did the Single Minded Pros get G Rap, his wife, Ma Barker, also blesses the single, "You Know I'm Wit It."

"They came out for the G Rap collaboration and they got the whole entree," G Rap says. "Chicago has always been real good to me, so there was no question about giving back."

"We are the first Chicago artists to ever collaborate with G Rap," Rude One says. "That's a big deal."

Tonight at Metro, the Single Minded Pros will celebrate the release of their album "From Now On." Not only is Kool G Rap on the album -- he's coming out for the party.

But the success of the Single Minded Pros doesn't end with that track. For "From Now On," they attracted East Coast underground stars like Mr. Lif, Akrobatik, Louis Logic, Pace Won and C-Rayz Walz. They also didn't forget where they're from. The album features fire from Chicago artists like Juice, Iomos Marad, Earatik Statik, Profound and Rubberoom.

Earatik Statik's Abstruse Tone says the ability the Single Minded Pros to attract such a varied and talented pool of artists has to do with their approach.

"When you get a CD of beats from them, it's not like it is with other producers," he says. "Most producers will send you a CD full of beats and it's a shot in the dark whether anything will be right for you. [Rude One] and Doc really listen to your songs and they personally cater beats to you. So there may only be five beats on the CD, but all five beats will be made just for you."

Doc West said this approach doesn't constrict their possibilities to any one sound or style. Because the Single Minded Pros are making beats for MCs rather than mass-producing them, they are able to manipulate sounds to fit a particular MC's voice and delivery.

As a result, the beats on "From Now On" range from the Kabuki strumming of Shabaam Shadeeq's "Death Bells" to the dark strings of Kool G Rap and Ma Barker's "You Know I'm Wit It."

A major marketing plan also is planned for the release. Write-ups are slated from publications ranging from URB to The Source.

"We will have distribution not only in the mom and pops [record stores], but also in Virgin and Tower," Rude One says. "And, thanks to George's Music Room, we're getting a billboard on I-290. "

In the end, though, G Rap says, the ultimate key to Single Minded's success will be their dedication to hip-hop.

"We've got to keep real hip-hop going, so it's important to work with cats who have that as their goal."

When Jay-Z calls, it's a good idea to answer the phone.

Just ask 9th Wonder, producer/DJ for the rap group Little Brother. Taking a call from the semi-retired rapper helped land him two songs on Destiny Child's forthcoming album, Destiny Fulfilled.

"Jay called me out of the blue," said Wonder, who produced "Threat" for Jay's The Black Album. "It sounds like a fairy tale, but this is how it's been for me. I was at home cleaning up and my phone rang 'private' [on the caller ID]. I usually don't answer private calls, but I answered and it was Jay on the line. He said, 'Yo, man. Destiny's Child needs some beats.' I thanked him once again for getting me on The Black Album — I am eternally grateful for that. He told me to get [the tracks] out as soon as possible. The next thing you know, I am in L.A. cutting the joints."

Wonder, who produced "Is She the Reason" and "Girl" for Destiny Fulfilled, said he learned a lot working with the trio.

"They're all down-to-earth women who are real about life and real about God," he said. "One of the things that really struck me about the girls was that before every [recording] session, they prayed. That's deep. I'm a Southern boy, so religion is real big down my way. The whole experience was great. We did some real soul music."

While 9th Wonder's work with Destiny's Child is technically his first R&B project, he notes that it's not that much different from his hip-hop releases.

"A lot of people will say, 'I didn't know you could produce R&B,' but if you listen to [Little Brother's debut album] The Listening, [MC] Phonte sings," said the Durham, North Carolina, native. "All of the beats I do contain melodies. Where Pete Rock and [DJ Premier] inspire me on the hip-hop end, with R&B, I have learned a lot from Chucky Thompson and his Mary J. Blige days. He took hip-hop loops and she sang on them. As long as your beat contains melody, you can do R&B music."

Despite his recent foray into R&B, 9th Wonder is still a hip-hop producer at heart, having recently worked with acts like Memphis Bleek, Jean Grae, Murs and Masta Ace. He has also teamed with Buckshot of Black Moon fame for an album that is due in March. In addition to all that, he also hopes to work with Common and Kanye West in the near future.

As his production résumé continues to grow, 9th Wonder is quick to emphasize that his first priority is Little Brother and their next album, The Minstrel Show, which is due in 2005.

"For the people out there that don't know," he emphasized, "I am a member of Little Brother: It's not 9th Wonder and Little Brother; it's not Little Brother featuring 9th Wonder. Little Brother is a group. That's the thing that's really driving me right now: We are trying to start a legacy. We want people to follow the group — we want them to follow us for years."

The Minstrel Show will serve as the group's major-label debut for Atlantic Records through a deal with Oakland, California, indie label ABB Records.

"The Listening was our intro," 9th Wonder said. " 'We're on the scene and this is how we live.' Now, The Minstrel Show is what we've been through in the past two years. It's a more serious record. The reason why we call it The Minstrel Show, and I know we are going to get a lot of backlash from black leaders, is because hip-hop today is a modern-day minstrel show. As Phonte would put it, 'We are caricatures of what hip-hop is supposed to be.' That's why we call it The Minstrel Show."

As the group continues to craft the album, 9th says that there are also plans for a solo set.

"Yeah, you're going to see a 9th Wonder producer album [with guest rappers] in the spirit of [Pete Rock's] Soul Survivor or the Alchemist's [1st Infantry], which is a dope album," Wonder said. "What you are not going to see is 9th rapping. I know my role, I know my place. We work as a team because we want to win a championship, so a shortstop doesn't play the outfield."

Kanye West is establishing a label, Getting Out Our Dreams, in association with Sony Music Label Group U.S. The artist/producer, who remains signed to Roc-a-Fella/Def Jam, has also entered into a production pact with Sony.

The first release under the long-term label/production deal is John Legend's major-label debut, "Get Lifted," due in December. Singer/keyboardist Legend appears on West's 2004 solo debut, "The College Dropout."

"The College Dropout" has sold 2.3 million units in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and yielded such hits as "Through the Wire" and "Jesus Walks." A sought-after producer, West has collaborated on projects with Twista, Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Ludacris and Janet Jackson, among others.

West is nominated for three honors at the American Music Awards, to be handed out Nov. 14 live on ABC: favorite rap/hip-hop male artist and album (for "The College Dropout") as well as favorite new artist.

As previously rumored, Tray Dee was supposedly getting out in 7 months. Well I just got tha word that Goldie Loc himself said Tray Dee hasnt even went to trial yet, plus he has previous felonies on his record, with that being said it seems like Tray will be locked down alot longer then people might think. My source on all this is Hu$tleboyFloyd who knowz Goldie Loc personally, this is a reliable source that comes from tha streetz of Long Beach.
